I've used those type of baits for years but only recently seen some and haven't been fishing since. But yes caught several fish for a number of years on those. Good luck

You did go through the level wind first?

I always tie the knot whichever you choose then for three or four turns off the handle I'll leave the line lose enough to spool on the reel and then start tightening up tension on line. When it catches it's lose but not to lose for only less than an inche. I've only had a fish pull all the line of a reel once and at that point I wasn't gonna turn it anyway so I just let it and about 200 yards of line go without worrying to much about it.

If I can figure out how to reply with a pic I'll show some I make here from 1/4" round rod I also make beverage holders the beverage holders in making now are special order and I have to finish one to get a pic of it. It's just with a 2500 degree farenheit fire in a garage makes it unbearable to work when it's 95-100 degrees out

I fish frequently and use both a bait caster and a two spinning reels. I cannot stand for the spinning reel to retrieve with the right hand nor the bait caster to retrieve on the left. It's kinda crazy but I have used that combination all my life. But then again it is a personal preference. If you use the reels in the order you are comfortable with you will get used to the combination you use on a regular basis.

Thanks Randy, I googled this medication today and found there is some class action law suit. My wife, bless her soul takes this, and the Dr just four or five months back put me on it and my A1C is within the normal range. I wasn't sure if I was reading that right or not but I am sure now thank you

That is a soft shell I've told those are good to eat but takes allot of work. This one was far too small but bigger than the other and far smaller than one i took out earlier in the season. I don't have pics of either. One the size of a silver dollar the other would not fit inside a five gallon buck bucket.

I have been fishing Anson lake for the last several weekends and some weekdays. It's been said there are nice fish in there but all I catch are 10-17 inch bass along with several catfish from almost as long as your finger to 12 inches. It seems the soft shell turtles are plentiful as some hardshell turtle which is greener than green.( a John Deere wanna be) lol perch as big as your hand and very carp and what I was told are buffalo fish unfortunate for me I rarely eat anything but catfish so I have a friend that eats every fish i can catch with exception of the to small ones. Using sponge bait, chicken liver, night crawlers and bugs. Good luck.

Lake Carl Etling i think that is how it is spelled, West of Boise city Oklahoma in the far west panhandle about five miles East of Kenton Oklahoma lays a small trout lake. But if you are in Eastern Oklahoma off of lake Tenkiller lays the the Illinois river which is cool enough to catch trout. On the Illinois there is several places on there they rent kayaks and various guides. The people i knew in the area I'm sure don't guide anymore bc it's been 30+ years they took people out and caught small rainbows used them to catch record stripped bass. Good luck and happy fishing.
