Bait on hook. Cast off boat or bank. Reel fish in. Hide from Tornadoes. Take Pictures and share them on here.

Jeremy's right. Trout like worms. Bugs. Crayfish. Other fish. Power bait ( oughta be illegal ). Marshmallows (really, Kraft minis, they float). Salmon eggs. Canned corn (check if it's legal). And they live in water. They generally prefer it to be clean and cool. If you find that, you will generally find trout. Don't know squat about Oklahoma, but I do know a little bit about trout. Please don't forget the photos, we love to look at pictures cause some of us don't read too good. You know, ex-marines? Gp find em and catch some Randy. Good luck!

Lake Carl Etling i think that is how it is spelled, West of Boise city Oklahoma in the far west panhandle about five miles East of Kenton Oklahoma lays a small trout lake. But if you are in Eastern Oklahoma off of lake Tenkiller lays the the Illinois river which is cool enough to catch trout. On the Illinois there is several places on there they rent kayaks and various guides. The people i knew in the area I'm sure don't guide anymore bc it's been 30+ years they took people out and caught small rainbows used them to catch record stripped bass. Good luck and happy fishing.

Welcome to the forum, Randy. There are at least three of “us” on here now. Good luck in your search for trout. I don’t know about any places in Ok. , but there are some in Ks. and a lot in Mo.

Roman Nose, Medicine Park, stocks thru the winter. Easy to catch from bank with power bait. Blue River, lower Mountain Fork, lower Illinois River good with flyrod and spinning rod. Lots of info on Oklahoma wildlife website.

Welcome to the Stage. Refer to the following
Lower Mountain Fork River. Fly fisherman at Lower Mountain Fork River. ...
Lower Illinois River. Illinois River in eastern Oklahoma. ...
Blue River. Blue River trout. ...
Lake Carl Etling. Lake Carl Etling. ...
Medicine Creek. Rainbow trout. ...
Perry CCC/Lake Perry Park. Stocked rainbow
Robbers Cave. ...
Lake Watonga.

That stream below Broken Bow lake would be my favorite, but I haven’t fished there in years. I have fished the Mountain fork with a guide, but it was a little boring. Depending on where you are coming from, the waters in and around Branson, MO are excellent for rainbow and the larger browns.

Howdy RandallH. Oklahoma is a fairly big chunk of real estate & you never specified where you're located. Several of the trout locations recommended to you are not stocked year round & it would be a waste of time to go there now, for instance Medicine Park. A full description of both year round trout fisheries & winter time locations are available on wildlife department.com. Both the Mountain Fork river below Broken Bow reservoir & the Illinois River below Tenkiller dam are both year round trout streams normally stocked every week. Both browns & rainbows are released. If you're traveling to either place go online & check the water release schedule at the dam. I live near Tenkiller lake & have trout fished below the dam many years. I don't flyfish so I catch all mine on power bait, super duper & small spinners. Good luck & tight lines
