I use mice tails a lot. A weight heavy enough to cast where you want. I do one long and one short. I mix up colors and scent.
great list! I am going to be 65 years next year and I suffer from a lot of these items on the list. Doesn't help to have had 16 surgeries from baseball (triple AAA player), hit by a truck, skied off a cliff (accidentally) and so on.

Sounds like a great trip. I heard it was very polluted there. Maybe not as bad as Mexico City. I agree Oakland is a much more dangerous place, hell even the Raiders were scared there. What happened to society in America?

My friend has a boat and we leave from ramp 1. We have caught some good striper a few weeks ago but it’s slow now. Went all over the lake and the fish were twenty feet away from where we were.

Shimano headquarters is close to my house so I walked into service with poles and reels. They quickly diagnosed the issue that one of the gears was upside down. I flipped the gear, took the offered Shimano lube and pole, reel and fisherman are all doing well.

I agree. The lakes should be gathering more water with the recent rains. I fish Irvine Lake every Friday and hauled out a 6.6 lightning trout last week.
There were some good sized bass pulled out as well. At least for California standards.

I was kidding about the reel causing me to be skunked :) I was a college level baseball player and was superstitious. It is a shimano 2500HG about a year old. I am going to add new 10 lb braid to it since the braid portion I am using the fish are seeing it :)
