So my buddies son is at this great fishing resort for catching bass. Him and a friend will be there for 5 days. The report for yesterday was 61 fish caught (for the two of them) and released. Most fish were in the 2-5lb range with a few that were 6-8 lbs. There are a total of three lakes to fish. The possibility of catching a 10+ bass in the five days is better than 50%. My question is: How much would you be willing to pay for a trip like this?

If you know the location, please don't give it away. I will post the website in a couple of days.

My guess is somewhere in Baja? Couldn’t pay me to cross the border the way it’s gotten down there with the gangs and the drug cartels, not like going there in the early 60s. Hope to get the sling off this Friday and how long for PT. Larry.

I am just home now after 6 weeks of camping and fishing in Baja...did most of my fishing from my kayak, on estuaries. I had no problems, the weather was warm and nice, the locals friendly, and the fishing...wow! I must have caught around 500 or more corvina (and some corbina), an easy thousand spotted bay bass, and the last week there there was a run of halibut.
I even caught a yellowtail, from the shore!
Been eating fillets every day since I got back....day before Thanksgiving.
FYI: I make at least one long trip to Baja every year....and hey, I've got 305,000 miles on my old Mazda truck...and I am 76 years old. Baja is way cool.

That was my guess but I don’t know if there are 3 lakes there. Curious myself!
Could be Stickmarsh, Headwaters and Blue Cyprus. Best Bass fishing I ever experienced.

That's a bucket list trip for me Garey. I've been dreaming of a visit down there since I saw them on TV, maybe 20 yrs ago. Looking forward to your report and pictures.

My son and I fished El Salto for 3 days in March. Our total was 168 to 7 lbs. It’s a lot of fun. Flew into Mazatlan and was picked up by the owners son. We had no issues at all. Oakland is much more dangerous. A gang banger shot a 9 mil. At me on the freeway 5 months ago on 80 in front of Emeryville , very scary. The bullet lodged 6” from my head. Give me Mexico and El Salto all day long
