A few days ago, someone posted some info on the Bass Pro ap available. Suppose to let you know when the best days to fish are as well as what to use, best time of day, etc. The best day is classified as "Epic"
Well, I got the ap and it was saying Epic at DVL yesterday. As it turned out, I was the top boat on the lake after talking to about eight other boats, either on the lake or at the dock. Me...one fish. All others....Skunked!
Cost is $10/year. This is only one try with it. Evaluation, save your money!!
Thanks for info but I’d give it another chance. If you catch 10 more fish this year because it is correct 65% of the time then to me it’s $10.00 well spent. Just my opinion but don’t rush to judge.

Oh, I will give it a couple more tries at least. But looking at it for 6-7 days ahead, I was pumped and fired up.
If it was just me having a bad day, but numerous other boats (all) got skunked. Not what I call epic. Will post after the next suggested day.
Like has been said many times before. "The best time to go fishing is when you can". Went fishing with a friend a few years back. It was cold and did not feel fishy. I got skunked, not even a strike. He got just one fish. His fish was the biggest bass and fish he ever landed in 79 years. What a great day of fishing we had.
i use an app called bass forecast. its helpful, but you still need to put yourself on good spots. check it out.

That is the ap I used. Was on about 30 different spots, all good spots. Go figure.

You know some years ago I bought a device that will tell the fisherman the color of lure to use at the depth you are fishing. I think it was about $35.00 that was a lot of money then but sounded like a good idea I bought one after a while you find out after a few feet deep only one or two colors show up most turn black. I was looking in the shop for some things and I found it after all these years I 🤔 think I might sell it. For $1,000 to go with someone’s $2,500 fish finder
Might go fast. 😂 lol

Was sorry to hear about your dad. Will look forward to fishing with you when they start biting,
Was at DVL Wed. Water level is way down, probably as low as I have ever seen it. Fishing was extremely SLOW.
After talking to about eight other boats, found out I was the high boat. Myself - 1 fish, Other 8 boats-Skunked.
I fish more down at west end of lake. Over the years have done pretty well there, with quite a few fish in the 6-7 lb range. To the right of the power plant there is a cove that can produce some decent fish, that is where I got the one. Hopefully the bite will pick up soon. Will be giving Skinner a shot this coming Tues.
Save your money on all that fancy non-sense, at least around here most lakes have cattle around them and when the cows are feeding the fish are biting. At least that is what my grand-pa taught me.
DVL is still tough right now. Water needs to warm up some. The cove you mentioned by the inlet, years ago we ran into a school of brown trout . That was before the stripers took over the lake. DVL used to be my favorite lake.
