A few days ago, someone posted some info on the Bass Pro ap available. Suppose to let you know when the best days to fish are as well as what to use, best time of day, etc. The best day is classified as "Epic"

Well, I got the ap and it was saying Epic at DVL yesterday. As it turned out, I was the top boat on the lake after talking to about eight other boats, either on the lake or at the dock. Me...one fish. All others....Skunked!

Cost is $10/year. This is only one try with it. Evaluation, save your money!!
A few days ago, someone posted some info on the B... (show quote)

So, the app was predicting an EPIC skunk?

DVL is still tough right now. Water needs to warm up some. The cove you mentioned by the inlet, years ago we ran into a school of brown trout . That was before the stripers took over the lake. DVL used to be my favorite lake.

Water temp was 60. Use to catch some nice rainbows trolling the west dam with lead core. I think the only trout being caught there are around the marina where they are planted. Usually within a few days of the plant. Totally agree with the stripers taking over. Did not see any of those.

I was lucky to get the one fish, got it around 9am. Ap said best bite would be 11:30-1:30. Not a single nibble.
Would have gone home around 11am but was giving the ap a chance. Yep EPIC skunk.

Hi Andy,
I am sorry to hear of your recent losses. I lost my Dad recently as well, it takes time to heal.
