?? Is is it not saying the government screwed the Indians over and not to trust the government or what’s your interpretation

This has always meant to me, that the we should take heed, look what the government did to the Indians. And look what the government can do/is doing to you. And Me.

My girlfriend bought on for me a few months back, but it was very cheap and does not work very well. I've planted coins in my yard and it won't detect them any deeper than about 2 inches. It doesn't have much in the way of adjustments. How much does a decent one cost? I've been wanting to detect for years but I don't want to throw money away trying to find a good one. Is there a brand that works well, but won't break t he bank? No one in my circle does it, so I wouldn't know who to ask.

Nice! They probably have seen some action, beings as from a mafia town. Poor guys on the receiving end, huh? They polished up nice. Sounds like the detector has paid for itself, with finding gold and silver. Have a good day.

I'm sure that most of us remember when this was just the way things were. If we saw someone in need of a helping hand, we just stopped and helped. Not looking for anything in return, except for someone to stop and help if we were in need. I really miss the way America used to be. I try to do my part still, but you just never know what could happen these days. I hope we get ourselves turned around, but I'm not holding my breath. You are a good man for lending a hand and showing the young ones how it's supposed to be done. My hats off to you.

Good job, Grandpa! It looks like he had an exciting day. Something the both of you will remember. It's really something special when we teach our grandchildren to enjoy the outdoors. I really believe that they will grow up to be better people because of it. Thanks for sharing pics.

Me too. I figure if I'm learning, I'm growing. And, If I'm not growing, well then, you know what that means. So I try to learn something everyday. I knew a tripled trout used it's time and energy growing instead of reproducing, but I never had anyone explain the chromosomes to me. Now I understand it better. Thank you.

I read all through this post, and all can say is, you guys are a very caring group of people. Here, you were trying to help out someone who none of you(probably) know personally. And trying to help him with a problem that had no bearing on your lives, whatsoever. You all should be proud of yourselves and deserve a pat on the back. This is one place where I'm reminded of how things used to be. Times when a complete strangers would stop and lend a hand, and it didn't matter what the problem was. I sure miss the way things were. But, anyways, you can't help someone who won't help themselves. And to the original poster; you aren't doing yourself any favors with mocking the Lord, or whatever you want to call it. Blasphemy sounds like a very warm, permanent vacation. Good luck friend. And good intentions from the rest of you. Fishermen are one if the more pleasant groups of people. Glad to be 8n your company.

I agree the week before crab season I was out of Mukilteo and the they had the area I was going to fish for flat fish carpet bombed with crab pots. I don't think they monitor their fishing or crabbing in any meaningful way. I agree they way over fish and crab and then blame it on the sports fishermen or the environment. what happened to the very large chum run we use to have in up the Snohomish river system? they netted off the mouth of the river catching everything and as a result we no longer have a chum run and very little wild Coho or chinook. Still think they should play by the same rules as everyone else and their treaty rights give them the right to fish with out a license but other than that same rules, same season and if we are serious about saving the chinook salmon then no nets in the sound if the tribe wants to use nets in the bay outside the the hatchery ok but not out in the sound at all by anyone at any time.

A guy that I know who lives on the Skagit River has video of Tribal members pulling nets. In the video, you can see them throwing the fish that they are keeping into the boat. The fish that they don't keep, (which includes Dolly varden, trout, and salmon they don't want), are either smacked in the head with a club or they ate slashed with a knife and thrown back in the river. So they are killing their by-catch even though the fish are still healthy and could be returned to the water. It seriously pisses me off that they waste like that and take whatever they want to boot. Something needs to be done. I told the guy that he needs to show that video to the game department or TV station, but I don't think anything has happened with it.

That is a very nice fish! He should be proud. Good job taking him fishing. I'm glad for him. Both, for catching that fish and for him having someone like you in his life.

I have a Walker Bay 8ft dinghy, that I put on top of my vehicle. I use that boat in small lakes and large lakes. Some people have even seen me using it to crab off of Mukilteo or Kayak Point. Anyways, back to the point. I can and have trolled all day long, with an electric motor, on the same battery. If you can't troll all day long on the same battery, maybe you should buy a new battery or trolling motor, or maybe you are using a boat that is too large for your motor. I can use my same battery and trolling motor on my 12ft aluminum boat with the same results. Just saying.

I really don't believe that t***s-ing back is going to change where they are headed at that point. There are certain things that people just should not do. And I believe that's one of them. Just my opinion.
