Last pic is not cool sir,,
Just a year or so, there was a meeting of all the hostile Indians. There were only three, one chief and to warriors.
The chief had been holding forth about how their people had been slaughtered, k**led with small pox, and all the dirty tricks brought forth by the white man's deceit. That this three were the only hostiles alive. How they did not have a chance.
But one of the braves spoke up and said, 'But chief, we will get even yet!" The chief, somewhat surprised said, "Really, just how do you propose we win!"
The warrior said, "We gave them tobacco! Just Sayin...RJS

The backside of that is “When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns!” Grew up with that in Montana in the early ‘60s……So very true….

That is true Jarhead but history is history and that was part of taming and winning the West also. One thing about it can't blame me or my people we didn't cross the big pond until 1900

Jar, I have seen it said and I don’t know if it’s really true or not but it has been said that the only groups of natives that have survived as tribal entities are those that fought back. What happened was inevitable given the attitudes of the times. The Buffalo, the Beaver, the peoples, the land!! The rape was unconscionable but it happened. It seems to me that as we recognize the failings and ignorance of our history that we instead learn from it. I know of your heritage and you are right to be proud of it. I also know of yoir service to our country and I am grateful for it. You are an example to all of us that where we have all come from, whether good, bad or indifferent, our lives and the way we live them can make a positive difference in todays messed up world. I salute you my friend.

Didn’t the indigenous nations attack and k**l each other?
The white dudes had nothing to do with that.
I guess that that was ok, right?
