Thank you for sharing. I have heard that Sonny's is very good bait. Garry
Good Lord that is a lot of fishing for one man. Congratulations on the fine catch. What bait were you using? If you don't mind sharing. Garry
Try local park ponds. rivers where you can fish from the bank. Lastly, check with your local independent bait and tackle store for the best information. Good luck and have fun.
I agree on the Bullet. Versitile and fun to use.
Does anyone use small circle hooks for stocked trout? What is your goto Hook and size?
I agree: right hand dominant; reel with left hand.
Poor Bear: I agree Hangovers are tough - for fishermen and bears.
Black widow G50 would be my choice.
Chicken Breasts Cut into one inch sqares will do the trick for both channels and Blues and the occasional fhathead. Also you can doctor your squares with anise, vanilla, red jello or koolaide in a zip lock bag. Don't be misguided by the "bigger the fish" fallacy. You will catch a lot more catfish with a smaller bait if prepared well. For a Carolina rig, depending on current, usually a 1 once ell sinker will do the job. Again remember, the KISS method is usually the best. Finally check out the widely published you tube channel "Catfish and Carp" Good luck, garry
I agree the Deeper Sonar is a good tool in the tackle box. I use mine almost exclusively for measuring Depth and Contour. Espseically contour as fishes are creatures of habit and circle the same patterns consistently. Most of thoses patterns follow contours for both safety and pattern. Find the contours, set your rig to the coresponding depths and there you will find fish....we all hope. Gars
Corn is especially good for Carp bait. Our friends on Great Brittion especally like the Green Giant Whole Kernel. Blue Gills, Trout, and other fish will take corn on a random basis. You can mix corn in a pack bait, fill up a hair rig hook, float float it under a cork. or use the little draw string bags from Thundermist Lures. Whatever method you choose, you will not be alone as all of Europe use corn in one form or another. Garry
P.S. Don't be surprised when a heavy hitter Catfish takes your bait and runs.
I own a Diawa Crosscast telesescoping rod and love it. The fexibility and accuracy of cast is a welcome feature. Additionally, the ease of carry/travel is certainly convenient. Garry
Does anyone have a preference in the use of Plain vs Coated Flouro? Is there a difference in coil or line twist? Thanks, Garry
I totally agree on the Walmart Ozark Trail and Yum sunglasses. I have owned several pair over several years and they have never gone bad for me. Now I have lost a few, but at $5.00 a pop they are easy to replace without breaking the bank. Besides all that if i ever have an extra $150 or $200 I will invest in new St Croix fising rod.

Thank you for your response. I found it very helpful...Others have recommened the Suffix Titanium so it nust be very good. I amgoing to purchase a spool and give it a go. Really like the fact that "memory hasn't been an issue at all"
Thanks again. Garry
