Since you both love to fish, I think you should add a "converter" to your repitouri. It plugs into a cigarette lighter and has four plugs that allows you to plug in a coffee pot or something of that nature. I would not recommend trying a microwave unless the engine was running to keep the vehicle battery charged. The converter is a very handy accessory.
I sure can do that and it is a very good idea. Perhaps we should start a business....lol!1

i crochet and would be glad to make a long leg warmer to keep his leg warm. I would just need measurements and a mailing address.

They CHOSE to come to our country and really need to learn how to live peacefully among us. Learning our customs is an imporrtant part of living in the U.S. in peace with us. Learn it or go back home.
I live in Texas and don't often fish public places but, I have found the Asian fisherpeople are rude and do their best to take over your fishing spot if you are catching fish and they aren't. They will even "inch" their way closer with each cast they make. I told one man if he hooked into my line, I would consider it a legal catch and take his rod and reel from him. I said, "you need to respect my space and learn manners". He quickly left. I think he thought because I was a woman I would not put up resistance and leave. When we are in the right, we need to stand up for our rights, peacefully when possible, when not peacefull, call a cop!!!
if you do get into a mess of chiggers, the best thing to put on them to kill them and stop the itch is hair spray. It smothers the tiny red mites so they can't breathe and die immediately. Been there and learned the lesson.

Spray the infected areas with women's hair spray. The "chiggers" are tiny red mites (spiders) Spraying them with hair spray will cover them so they cannot breathe and kill them. The itching should stop immediately.
For all of the kids, I would start them on cane poles, bobbers, light line, medium size corks and worms for bait. The main thing to introduce kids to fishing is.....catching. Once the kids are "hooked", teach them what they are capable of comprehending and try to make sure they are successful. God Bless You and good luck.
You need to allow yourself to accept this as "a lesson learned", put it to rest and continue fishing as if each time is as a first time. God bless you and stay safe.
You also could just go back to basics and get cane poles, hooks, weights, corks and bait for your visitors to use. You may be surprised!
Sometimes bubbles just come from ground pressure.
I suggest you buy a strong car/truck battery and electric fence wire, plus plastic insulators. Try and rig the insulators and wire in an inconspicuous manner and connect it to the battery at times when it will be most effective. (That will cut down on battery drainage.). Personally, I would take much more aggressive action. Most of us work very hard for what we have and having it stolen for any reason is shameful.
Oh thank you for that tip. Bacon grease always "whets the appetite". I will add this to my weapons

I have the good fortune for permission to fish in the private tank of a friend. I am curious as to the native bait fish the catfish and bass eat.
Now I have a minnow trap and believe dry dog food might be a good bait to lure the little bait fish into it so I can see what the big fish are eating.
Do any of you know of a better bait to use?
Thank you,
Karen
