they are fun to catch and release.
The Argo runs shark trips out of Fisherman's wharf. Live anchovies, when available,
squid if not, are hard to beat.
they put up a nice fight, and when you catch one, you are very likely to catch more.
I do know they are caught just north of Emeryville , from the shore, but being in a boat
so you move around based on tide flow , is nearly a sure thing.
Good luck!

Hey XW. We go into the Drs office today for the first checkup since the surgery. Hopefully we'll learn why he chose NOT to reattach the tendon that goes across the top of her shoulder. Really disappointed that he didn't do that. Says if this surgery isn't successful enough he's got to do a shoulder replacement.
I wish he could have fixed her up right this time instead of putting her through ANOTHER surgery and LONGER recovery a third time.

best guess: the tear in her rotator cuff tendon was too large to close.
I have assisted on dozens of shoulder surgeries , and the size of the tear is often
underestimated by MRI pre op.
I am very sorry to hear that her surgery was not a success though.
Greetings: I would suggest contacting the Outdoor Pro shop , in cotati.
They have an ear to all Norcal fishing, fresh/salt, and have a huge inventory
for any gear you might lack.
Best of luck!
Gary
congrats on a nice catch!
thanks for the interesting read!

I hope you do bring some rain with you :)
King Sport and Tackle, Guerneville , and Outdoor Pro Shop, Cotati, are I think, the two
best sources of fresh water fishing information in our area.
Keep us posted.
Gary
very nice cubera. They give the most violent fight
I have had with any fish. Button-downed drag...........and you
can still get rocked shortly after the initial strike.
Good grief, I thought this was a fishing site, and we would support those of us who are ill.
Posting Qanon fiction helps no one.
Your post, I am afraid, is spewing garbage.

This morning no taste no smell and a terrible headache, wife is the same. We'll be getting tested in a couple hours.
I sure hope you both improve quickly, and no lung issues. But those symptoms strongly point to Covid:(

For the second time my wife and I have been exposed to the COVID 19 virus, not because we did anything we weren't supposed to but because someone she works with went to a Thanksgiving dinner where they were exposed and caught ,along with his whole 16 member family, to the virus. He has exposed everyone in her department and now we are in a 14 day quarantine,,, Again,,, this is our 2nd. We'll get tested tomorrow and hopefully will come back negative but People this is no joke and it's scary. Please think of others and do the right thing, it's no fun wondering if you might die from someone else carelessness.
We have done everything the CDC recommends and we've still been exposed twice.

I hope for the best for you and your wife.
it is discouraging how many people do not respect each other enough to wear a mask in public, and
keep a relatively safe distance.
should not be part of anyone's politics...……………..and if 35 to 40% of the population refuses a Covid vaccine,
this will be a problem way longer than it should.
Prairie Chicken:
Tried it in Wyoming. I will pass the next opportunity 🙂
I remember ABC Wide World of Sports carried coverage of a rattler roundup in
the 60's.
no espn/Peta then :)
Stripers can carry a heavy load of round worm parasites, and tapeworm larvae (little red spots
on the skin, then the larvae burrow deeper).
Supposedly safe if cooked well, but...……………….I would pass.
