Just had cataract surgery so I use dark sunglasses for driving and those amber glasses that cut the glare and can see the fish in clear water and I wear a UV fishing ball cap. Otherwise the dark glasses are too dark for anything.

I have 2 rods and reels.1 for trout and the other for bass. 1 is a lady Shakespeare 4'8" with a pfleuger reel to get into tight places for trout and the other is an ugly stick with a mitchell 300 reel for bass. I think it's a great set up. I usually fish from shore.

I have been looking for dough ball bait hooks every where and can't find them. Is there any thing else I can use instead? Or how can I use dough bait or dough bait on a regular hook.

A lot of times the reel will tell you the max test recommended for the reel and the same for the rod.

I like my pfleuger and Mitchell. In my opinion they are smooth to retrieve and I like the front drag instead of rear .

First bass ever and it weighed 3 1/4 pounds. I have never tried fly fishing.
