I have been looking for dough ball bait hooks every where and can't find them. Is there any thing else I can use instead? Or how can I use dough bait or dough bait on a regular hook.

Use a Carolina rig with a snap swivel on the end. Get a treble hook and push the hook eye through the dough ball and put it on the swivel. The three prongs will hold the dough ball in place.

I buy small treble hooks at Cabela’s. They have tiny ones (#18) for even trout bait. They also sell a couple sizes of plastic dough ball makers that work well for Powerbait with a small treble hook.
I used treble hooks with nothing else with cormeal doughballs for carp as a kid. Worked very well.

Welcome to the Forum, Birdlady. All kinds of solutions.
Buy the ones with a spring. Trebles, singles, all sizes, have yet to NOT see them ----in every tackle shop, Walmart, Bi-Mart, catalogue.
Ok, I give up. What are dough balls good for? Is that for fishing up north. Haven't seen anyone doing that "down yonder."

"down yonder" 😎, we catch catfish.
Never caught a freshwater cat. Only saltwater and they are poisonous.
