Peter Capstick wrote about a movie crew in Africa. On a day off 1 took a car and went touring. He never returned. When they found the car he had mounted a camera on the side window. He got out of the car and walked up to a price of lions and patted the male lion on the nose. It went down hill from there. I have always pictured that lion thinking this is the first time lunch has come to me.

My wife wouldn't let me read them in bed because I would get to laughing so hard the whole bed shook.

Mieirs Lake off Outer Springer Loop has rainbow and grayling planted. I fish there about once a week with a friend in his boat with a flyrod and do pretty good in the evenings. Most lakes in the area are stocked. Kepler Park and Echo Lake, Finger Lake and many others. Good luck Miers Lake has an American Legion post and if you are a member you may be able to get a boat, or fish from their dock.

Thank you. I will take a picture with my cell phone when I get there. I am not sure when I will be going though. Our daughter lives there.

I learned to drive in a 1942 1&1/2 ton 4wheel drive Chevy truck. Had to double clutch it. It is still in the family but hasn't moved in years. That knowledge has served me well over the years. When my mother passed away I found the original receipt for it in her safety deposit box. It was military surplus and cost $350.00. My brothers and sisters all got a copy of it.

I have been wearing hearing aids for over 25 years. I have used NuEar. I signed up with VA and my hearing is so bad they got me 2 pairs so I would have a back up pair. 1 pair is Resound and the other is Phonak. I have been using the PHONAK FOR ABOUT A YEAR and really like them. They work through my cell phone also. They won't help you until you get your Mineers Disease taken care of. As you are a veteran I would see if VA can help you. Most places offer free hearing tests. Take your wife if you get a hearing test so you can see if you can hear her. Hearing aids are not as good as what God gave you, but they do help. Unfortunately they seem to amplify sounds like coughing when you are trying to listen to someone speaking. They have been a big help to me and I recommend you try them.
