Tell us about the boat.
Brand / length /. Looks good.

Just like Mike said with link. RiverWild Boat, 26’ long, 8’ wide, 300hp Yamaha power plant, 9.9hp kicker, & a MinnKota electric trolling system on the bow, with SpotLock. Has 12’ pole lock compartments on both sides. It is setup how Brandon wanted,as he had it made, just picked it up last Monday. It was a Sweet Ride.

Made it to the Sac for my first fishing trip this year with One of my Son-in-Laws and his friends. Got to fish for Striped Bass for my first time ever. Got my limit 2 days in a row, as did the rest of the boat. Interesting fishing with live bait for the first time. Those Stripers fight good, 2lbs or 10lbs, don’t matter. Had a great trip. The little guy killed it 1st day with the 2 biggest fish.
Here’s a few pics. New boat breakin for Brandon, and his son, and I got a Suntan out of it as well at 80* both days.

Most the ones I have found and ordered are from Lilicloth.com, or Temu even found some for my wife I like

4/15/24 Caught some pretty good crappie this morning. I released most but kept three good ones. All caught with 2.5" gulp Minnows on Jerry's little gold jig.

Great looking Crappie Andy’s! Nice eating size! Congrats

Had a nice little shakedown run at Beseck today. It wasn't quite as warm as yesterday and the
8-10 breeze was gusting to 15+, but I got out anyway. No luck with topwater or a swimbait, so it was Dinger time. I missed the first bite, probably early hookset. Caught a 2lb Largemouth skunkbuster, and then settled in. Caught 2 more cookie cutter males, and decided to shift gears. Pulled out the medium light, and the ultralight rods and went Crappie hunting. The blowdown trees were on fire. Caught 10 up to 1 pound or so. The wind was picking up so I picked up the worm rod one more time, and caught the big fish of the day, a 2lb 12oz chubby female. After that I called it a day.
Definitely a successful shakedown and first trip.

It's April, the bass are supposed to be hittin,
But weather keeps changin a lot.
Lake level is stable,
So we otta be able,
To see bout some fish gettin caught.
My bud and I did find some time for a run,
And water that's calmer for casting.
We did find a few,
With lures that we threw,
But catchin just wasn't long lasting.
I had me a blast with one certain fish,
To land him was really a trick.
It took me a while,
The end made us smile,
He came up and brought me a stick!
The bass liked my worm and some were on top,
Then wind made the boat start to lurch.
We had us some fun,
And Jim caught him one,
A bluegill, what we just call perch.

Very nice JB! I don’t know if I could have released one like that, but you’ll probably hook ‘em’ again before the years out! 😎

Went to Lake Moultrie from Black's Fish Camp. Started fishing 8:15 and finished at 9:45. Wind picked up and it started to white cap. Got 10 nice ones before the wind chased me away.

Good sounding day for you Gordon, glad you had some fun and got a few before the wind got bad.

She is in mourning after a motorist killed her mate. I’m too old for boats. I like to fish 🎣 for a few hours every evening instead of an all day marathon. I may try fishing in the sou’easter gale and flood after Palm Sunday Mass this afternoon.

I agree bands, that’s what she was doing. Sad when things like that happen to paired up wildlife. I understand the long days on the boat also, but am going on my first Striper trip next month down on the Sacramento River, California. Should be interesting.

I should have known better BUT i was throwing a musky plug a 9” solid black slug-go from the top of a lock wall up about 15 foot. And a very big fella ( musky) came up and grabbed it I was by myself and fought him a good little bit and had him whipped but he went around the end of the wall and before I could get over the handrail he cut me off. Iv got a big pier net but left it at the house. Bad thing is he got a 9” slug-go and about 20 foot of 65lb power pro to drag around if he can’t get rid of it.
