The smaller lakes are pretty good right now. Try fernan, twin lakes, round lake. most are stocked with trout already and have bass, perch, and crappie. Good luck
One of the best sporting good stores for information is the Black Sheep in Coeur D' Alene. There is a chubbylady there that has really advice. Get r' hooked.
My Son Tony and I took three of the great grand kids fishing mid week to beat the crowds. We were looking for taco meat. We caught a few keepers but had a great time with just a dozen night crawlers. We boated 36 fish total. When we ran out of worms they all took a dip for a while before we went home.
Went fishing over here on Maui and caught some funny looking fish. They are really pretty but taste a little odd. The are quite a good fighter for their size, around 11--12 inches long
As it turns out you are right it just seems like the tides are greater in the north. The tides on Maui are 1.5 ft to .9 ft typically. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Thanks Sdc Maui
The closer you are to the equator the smaller the tides. The time change from winter to summer also is less the closer you get to the equator. Leave Jan. 6th to do some surf fishing on Maui. I hope to share some pics soon.
