Welcome to the Forum, ron. Check with a local bait shop. Good luck!
You are surrounded with great fishing, both on the Idaho side as well as the Washington side. There are several rivers and lakes around you. Do you drive? Have a boat? Check with the Idaho Fish and Game dept. Right now, there's good fishing for Lake Trout and Kamloops trout in Lake Pend Oreille, Lake Coeur d'Alene has many species of fish, and the Coeur d'Alene River and St Joe's rivers are great trout water (mostly fly fished). Further South, the Clearwater and Snake rivers are putting out salmon and steelhead.
A little more info would help you get better answers to your questions. I agree with flyguy, go to a local sporting goods store (Cabela's in Post Falls, North 40 in Coeur d'Alene) and talk with the outfitters there. They are there to help you.
