I don't have much to brag about, so for now just want to hear from more experiences anglers. Maybe as an inspiration for those days when it feels like I'm never getting a bite.

My large fish for me was a halabut that weighed in at 275 lbs. it was real dumb of me too kill this fish because this fish is a breader fish. Well when we got back home and went to filet it the filets were a foot thick and full of worms. anyway lesson learned if i ever catch another one i will take pics and let it go. ricky Sitka.

I owned a ranch on Castle Creek about 1/4 mile from the high water mark. Worked too much to enjoy the lake.

was it a package/boat sold with that motor
something fishy goin on there
i would contact Mercury Marine

Is this motor mounted on the top hole of the motor mount? Also did you take this boat out before you bought it? You could look into a jack plate that is fixed to the transom that will let you move the motor up or down. Once you bought this boat your kind of stuck with it.merc will be no help as long as there is no damage to the motor. Ricky Sitka.

I have saw carb floats melted from use of Heet. That stuff is used in car carbs with metal floats.

it's a 2005 mercury 90 hp 2 stroke motor.

Stop throwing parts at this motor!! Check compression, check spark, check your for any water in the fuel. You may have to remove a plug on carb to sea if any water is presend. also the same for EFI. Rule of thumb on compression, If there is 10 15 percent difference between cyls you have ring sealing issues. You are also looking for real blue spark and continuous with out any drop outs. Can a boat sink on land? Yes it can just do not remove your plug or build a tent out of your boat cover so the rain drains off of the tent.

Must of had a not very good bilge pump. Or maybe one that was not wired to a float switch. I got in a hurry one time and put my boat in without a plug in and my bilge pump worked off the float switch and only filled my bilge half way up before i noticed it. Ricky Sitka
