A buddy and I hit a lake over in Jersey that has always been a good panfish producer. The lake had just had its fall turnover and was brown with suspended algae. We fished it for 4 hours, marked fish but literally had no hits whatsoever. Never in my 65 years has that happened while fishing for panfish. Packed up and launched at another and did okay with some decent crappies. I kept 5 and my buddy kept 3. All decent craps between 11-12.5” but the first lake we fished and caught 0 still blows my mind.

Hi Miley. Good luck at your trophy lake, but be careful. If that green stuff is vegetation, you're fine, but if it's that blue/green Algae it can be very toxic. If you're not sure, Google it and compare with the stuff on the water. You don't want to get sick from fishing. Good Luck and Tight Lines.

Thanks for the advice Fredfish .didn’t teally look at stuff on top but have seen it before on other lakes and ponds .will take a closer look

No steelhead in Northampton county Miley, closest place you’ll get into them are the tributaries on Lake Ontario, most notably the Salmon river.

Well I was just hoping, kind of knew that they would be in far away place,s .just will haveto setup a trip

Try the Delaware Canal in Yardley. You can walk along the canal path and fish the whole length of the canal. The water level is very low right now, so head south on River Road from Yardley and park on E. Ferry Road. Walk south toward the Calhoun Street Bridge. I catch Large Mouth Bass and Pickerel. There are also a ton of large carp, if that's what you'd prefer. Good luck.

Thanks I will give its shot soon as the heat drops somewhat

There’s some township ponds close to you that have decent fishing. One on Kromer road, Albert road, and Beil road all within 6 miles of each other.

Thanks for the reply I have been to both unfortunately the weeds are heavy there now .I do still fish but it can be trying
