St. Croix Mojo Bass. Extraordinarly nice rod for the price. Pair it with an Ambassadeur 6500. A little over $200, but money well spent and you can pass it on when you're done with it if you take care of it.

I really like st croix rods for the money, partial to shimano also dont skimp on the line, the most important part

spinner baits with Bronze Colorado Blades and a 5 in trailer, for Strippers, live eels, fresh sandeels and lg. seaworms. If trolling you cant beat a properly tuned old go-go eye, swap the trebles with heavy duty singles. Bait will run better with out the trebles. With the plugs you catch 10 times more fish with wire line.

I LOVE spinnerbaits, Just not willows. I am a 1/4 oz, short armed Falling Star Deeply cupped Bronze Colorado with a 5in Kallin Grub trailer . 75% of bites on the drop, 20% on the Slow Roll and 5% by Mistake To each his own, Most of the guys I take fishing Hate this rig. most never even know they got bit Watch the dam line on the drop, even with braid its hard to feel the bite, not that I would use braid with this rig. If your in 15 ft and your line stops at 7 Set the Hook, your ON.

I suggest # 2 circle hooks as they pretty well as fish pretty well set themselves. No heavy set on your part just reel

No Way, I used to fish strippers at night on Cape Cod. Fished 2 rods, both 30 mono, several strippers where over 50, I pulled some knots but I never Broke off.
