And most of them seem to get elected!
Came back from KY Lake a couple weeks ago and thought about stopping. Not a meat hound just looking for some info for next year. Howz crappie action in the spring, getting tired of the drive to KY for minimal action.
I have had five numbers, twice, three weeks apart in the old lottery (each was worth $1400). The first if I had a six instead of a seven I would have split $14M. Both were quick picks. I'm trying for five numbers again. Think I'm still ahead. Need a new Triton this year!
Just got back from a week long trip out of Benton. Water is way down, temp was 70, color was sporadic, wind was off the chart. Bass fishing was the savior on the trip 8-12', Crappies are non-existent. Watch your depth or you will end up on gravel or sand bars. Get a guide on day one!
Back in the day (early 70's) he carved a pregnant minnow lure called Big O. Won a few of the Bass Masters and can't remember how much people were willing to pay for this SECRET LURE. I have six that I have bought on line (no, none are for sale). Over the years it is/was my go to lure for tough times. Turned 76 this year and my oldest son has already claimed them after I leave. When he was about 9 or 10 we were fishing in Arkansas and I snagged my first and only original one in a ten foot deep bush. Broke off, Jr volunteered to get his dive mask and get it back.....and he did (bride didn't know till it was over).
Some years later on a trip to KY Lake, had it sitting in the back of the boat. Got back to the dock, after a 40 mph run, and my favorite BIG O was claimed by a wave. Color was chrome silver, and I still think about her!
Ron Lindner at Lake Vermillion, MN. Would be a great time fishin' with another Nam Vet while were on this side of the grass!
Not as many as that ownership problem team from Shitcago!
Then stay out of ILLinOIZ, they tax everything, except their salaries!
I'm not after numbers just a few large types. So far my biggest is a smallie that was only seven inches. I will keep trying and be sure to take a photo when I succeed. Oh, I forgot to mention, my biggest was seven inches, but that was between his eyes! Is that a really large smallie?
I still have two Mitchell 701's that I bought in 1970, and they both still work. Haven't needed a replacement spring cause I close the bail manually. The only reason I don't use them as much any more is cause they are built like a tank and weigh the same amount. Being 75 years old I enjoy my ultra-light Shimano's. Seems like most customer service is a dying art these days.
Agree with what Sales Rep says about your local guy. Ever think K-MART would bite the dust? Way to go management. My local guy even remembers my name when I come in. He (him and his bride) survived a very tough time for businesses.
Thank you John, in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Oz, I guess I qualify, in fact on my birthday this year I will be 27,394 days old, and that includes all 19 leap years.

Spend a few bucks and buy a copy of 'Lunkers love Nightcrawlers." Scary results when you pay attention to detail!
Great story, and that 70 Rude is a great engine, and easy to work on! ENJOY! Think about your buddy every time you launch her.
When I got my Nitro, I decided to go to the XR6 150. In hindsight, I've had it wide open maybe three times in the 23 years I've owned it. Don't know how old you are, but I took my spurs off a long time ago, and I enjoy cruising at 30 MPH a lot more than fighting waves at 60 MPH. Yea I'm an old fart, hit the big 75 in May. Enjoy the scenery, and save a little gas!
