Sad to say an article just popped up from KY3 TV out of Springfield Mo. , stating that mercury levels were high enough in Walleye caught in both Bull Shoals and Norfork lakes and they are recommending not to eat those fish due to the high levels. If you can Google up the article it is worth reading.

MAS, here’s the link from the Arkansas department of health. There’s sub links to fact sheets on the website for other lakes too.

We got a warning about the fish in the Tennessee River the other day, the forever chemicals PFAS 3M dumped for years have rendered those fish dangerous to eat in quantity. Big Corporations are killing our rivers to pad their pockets.

Release all of the walleye caught immediately and let me dispose of them when I catch them. Eat White Bass.

Read the whole article, not just the selling headlines.
"• How many people have had mercury poisoning in AR?
ADH is not aware of any current mercury (or methylmercury) poisonings due to fish
consumption."
Trying to create panic is the current trend. Don't po po science. Just use common sense and look at the bottom line rather than the initial scare statements. After reading the entire article Forchion posted, I will not eat fish if I get pregnant. Given the high rat of deaths (zero) I will continue to enjoy fish.

Like I said, use common sense. Mass numbers have died from Covid. The largest 80 something % did not have shots. A handful may or may not have died out of many millions who got the shot. Millions of medical professionals support the shots, while only a handful reject the shots. Most of the objection to shots comes from non medical people. Definitely not science. I am no longer a large concerned if people get shots. That is their own choice, now that they are no longer a major death threat to me and my vaccinated family. The death threat has gone way down, due to the shots and remedies now available. What concerns me is that so many people in this country can no longer use common sense.

Well Bapa, I don’t plan on getting pregnant either. I don’t plan to stop eating fish, shrimp, bacon, eggs, pork, hamburger, cheese or milk. Everything in moderation is the key. Matter of fact, I took some shrimp and speckled trout out of the freezer for tomorrow. Supposed to rain all day so I think enjoy some seafood.

You are 100% correct on both issues. Contamination in fish is not a gpod thing, but using common sense tells you than an occasional meal is NOT going to cause you harm. If you ate these fish every dsy for 70 years, you might jave a problem. The sky is not falling.

I agree eating fish in moderation is the right thing to do.
My understanding of most mercury sources is they are natural… not man made.
On the Covid…quick watching CNN and MSNBC.
People are dying both ways from Covid, shots or no shots.
My daughter and wife have had they shot and three boosters, they both have had Covid.
Myself , I have had it twice now and because of its mutations will probably get it many more times.
My dad and step mom both had it… dad is 83 and my step mom is 73 with copd.
I am not saying Covid is not a concern it’s a bad man made disease…thanks to China!
I think it’s best to wash my hands, keep my hands away from my face, stay home when sick and eat healthy.
My way is different than a shot, but I am thankful there is still a choice!
The talk was all about corporations making big money for the pollution of our waters. What about the big money with the pharmaceutical companies.
Do you not think there is a push to sale their product to the public?
If you like fish and eat it often I would recommend to eat pan fish. Their bio accumulation is much less than predator fish like walleye/pike.

My two cents.
