Recently while fishing with my grandson he lost the tension knob on my accurist pt reel. I contacted quantum
(Zebco) and they advised me that the part was out of stock but if i returned the reel they would send me a new one free of charge. I sent them the reel five days ago and today I received a brand new reel. In todays world that is great customer service and treatment of a customer. Hats off to them from a grateful grandfather.

Better then the luck I been having with Shimano. Been a year or so and at first they told me the people they contracted for parts failed them. Sent back said we will get in touch. Now mind you this warranty work I just screwed up. Going 2nd year and they still no parts. Thinking about trying new reel..

Great news Ftu, I'd say that's well above and beyond what anyone would expect. Kudos to Zebco!

I think that I am going to contact them and tell them about the 15 pound Largemouth Bass that got away from me on one of their rod and reel combos. Wonder πŸ’ if they win replace the Nass that I lost 😑...

I have a Shimano spitfire reel lightweight freshwater. The reel is probably 25 years old or so. The bail spring finally went and I couldn't get a spring for it and I tried everywhere. Shinano told me they don't make them anymore to buy a new reel. I can still get a bail spring for my Mitchel 408 with I've had since 1970. I also have two Diawa reels that are older than the Shimano and still have not needed to replace any parts. These Diawas get heavily used each year. Although I loved the Shimano I will not buy another one of their reels. It will be a Diawa when I decide to buy another new reel.
