4/11/24 LMB are hitting good in the morning. It is fun if you like bass fishing. Most caught with a 7.5" Culprit Grape/Purple Worm. One on a Dead Ringer Worm. All caught in no more then three or four feet of water.

Just making me want to hate you, but I can't. LOL Nice work!

They're open till 1pm on Sundays Marc. I usually roll in around noon and go straight there.
You can get them from the state online, but I've had trouble with them not accepting either of my 2 email addresses.
I've never had any issues with bugs, in my 4 trips, but that can change anytime.

Thanks again, should be no problem making it in time.

I get mine at JD's Bait and Tackle on rt64 between Lamar and Mill Hall, Marc. I'm not sure of any other shops. Some get theirs online, but I've had trouble trying to do that. I just pick it up when I get there.

Thanks Fred, I'll be sure and write it down. Hope they are open on Sunday when I drive in.
Still have a few things to get together for the trip. Glad I have so much time to plan for it.
Don't know how bad the bugs will be, so plan for the worst and hope for the best. I HATE surprises. LOL
Most of the surprises I have had were NOT fun. LOL

Descriptions are above each pic.

OK, Here's the question for all of those that are not PA residents. Does the Bait shop at the lake sell the out of state licenses for those of us from other states? Or do we need to go on line and do it?

First fish that hooked me was at a boy scout camp in Arizona, I was 12. They had a lake and I walked along it and found some line and a hook. Tied the line to a 1 inch thick stick and looked under rocks until I found a Perry Winkle. Use a small rock for a sinker and threw it out. Caught the biggest Blue Gill I have ever seen. It wouldn't fit in a bucket with out curling. Oh, forgot the stick broke but I grabbed the top piece before it went into the water and pulled the fish in hand over hand. LOL

I had to go to a jury duty thing once where they chose the jury of however many from like 200 people or more, those lawyers were such a joke, how many different ways can you say the same thing before someone gives the answer you want?

I went in for jury duty and they asked if any one would believe a fireman or police officer over a regular citizen as a witness.
My hand went up and they asked me why?
"Because both of those are in High Stress jobs and they are more likely to be use to lots of stress and high adrenalin levels.
I was eliminated from the jury. LOL

I put some braid on the reel this evening 30lb and I put it on one of my rods, got a closer acquaintance with the reel and it’s pretty nice for a spincaster, it’s the bullet mg which is supposed to be like 20% lighter than the regular bullet, I put a 1/2oz bank sinker on it and did some casting also let her cast it to try it out , the drag on this one is good it was easy to adjust and stays put, the drags on her others seems to always be too loose or too tight, hard to keep them just right, I think she’s going to like this one and I think she’s going to try to steal my rod after she gets to use it for real

But then you can buy you another rod! LOL

Good Morning Oz
I had an Uncle who installed formica counter tops using contact cement. If he made a mistake he had a spray bottle with acetone in it. He would lift a corner and spray the acetone which would desolve the contact cement. This method would not damage the material, which could be reused, and made for a somewhat easy cleanup. Maybe others on the board can chime in if they think this would damage anything.
Thanks
Have a Great Day and
Good Luck

Depends on the glue used. Alcohol and Acetone are the 2 Universal Solvents. Some need Acetone, some Alcohol.

Just a suggestion, try Goose Island State Park. Great pier, wading access, open flats, and a self serve kayak rental kiosk if you’d like to try it. $5 entry per person for day/night visits. RV and campgrounds by reservation. Boat ramp in the park. Fishing advice, if stationary on the pier, shore, or sea wall, try some healthy sized chunks of cut mullet, sea lice, or crab for the drum and reds. Live shrimp or mullet under a popping cork if you’re equipped for live. Soft plastics under a cork or mauler rig, wading, drifting or stationary, or your favorite spoons, tops, hard baits

If not much current, the popping corks work real good.
