I’d use a heat gun and putty knife Oz.

Had a guy recently told me he did his removal with a wide blade in a multi-tool (electric occilating) Said it worked great. No personal experience using one for the task, but it sounded logical.

Both. Striper to do the work and stripper while you're waiting for the job to be done.

If you do it yourself it will be a lot of work no matter which method you choose but a heat gun and putty knife prolly the cleanest you will get. Pros will charge an arm and a leg and since you only got one leg that works good I wouldn’t go there…..

I agree. I recommend you get a stiff putty knife, the stiffer the better.
A pair of vice grips too if your hands are old and arthritic like mine.
