I like the dark blue. Just painted one that way. Used silver on the belly with a hint of chartreuse along the lateral line into a dark blue. I still have the tape on the bill. I think I went a little too dark on the belly but wll give it a try.
GOuld have been a little lighter on the bottom but I love the blue!! I'd fish it !
I wanted to go back to Grand Lake, after fishing a bass tournament. The white bass were running in the evening, chasing those shads.
Interesting you mention White Bass I just got an email on where to fish for white bass in Oklahoma.
Hope this links work.

Your going to have so much fun learning all the features and the detail is insane. I'm still learning all the features of my Lowrance. I record all my sonar and use Reef Master to play them back. I just love watching the replay. Have fun!!!

I use dough balls made of flour and water on a treble hook. Chum the water with canned corn if your local regulations allow. I have gotten into a couple feeding frenzies with 15-20 lb carp using this technique. I had to pull my second pole out of the water both times. Other times I can’t get a bite. This one is about 3’ long and weighed about 20 lbs. They are fun!
Wow I bet that was fun !!
Gosh they are so much fun to catch!! I've caught them sight fishing on a small size 10 or 12 treble hook. The water was very shallow about 6in to a foot. Just swimming around looking for something to eat, I would toss the hook in front of their path. Wait to set the hook, it did take a little time to get the hang of it because they would spit it out. I was using a 10-foot crappie pole with 17lb Trilene on a baitcaster. It was a rush to fight those big boys, about 3-4 lbs. This was in a power plant lake in Nebraska. Since then at Wright Patman I found a place that I think they are spawning, I'm going to try one of the baits listed above. I used to catch them on worms when catfishing.
I like the suggestions above for rigging up. Be ready for a fight!!!!!

It was an honor to serve my country.
THat's awesome !!! What a wonderful feeling. Good for you and the Club!
My thoughts are with you and the family. Sounds like you have a wonderful place to remember the good times.
Welcome to Stage millkam1692 !!
I've heard of Glen Elder but have never fished it. What are you fishing for?
Welcome to Stage loader34!! you will probably find all kinds of sources to help you.
Can't really help you but I wish you the best with your new boat.
Good Luck Staggs1788 ! If there is a bait shop near stop, ask what they are catching and on what. If they are not letting a lot of water out my observation has been most of the catfish are caught further down. Be aware of the rocks, I've lost a Bass Pro shop full of weights. LOL. I usually take a lunch out there and just watch for an hour or two. I can usually find a couple of other bank fishing spots on the main lake just talking to other fisherman there.
Keep us posted and take picture of the spillways.
