I’ve been looking at boats also I found one at Cabela’s 26,000 $ Tracker. But I’m 72 and every one says your 72 how many times are you going to use it before you get too old?? Look at how many charter’s you can go on for that money or how many trips you can go on. ??? I can see what they are saying but still

72 is young. My best fishing buddy up in Alaska just turned 100 and he’s still fishing.

Welcome and good luck out there. What part of Oregon. I can tell you where to go out of Newport. Just keep in mind that ocean don’t care if you return or not. We spent several nights off shore about 3 miles because we couldn’t get back in over the bar because of the wind and colliding water. That was in a 43 foot boat. Be careful out there. Many times you will head out in calm seas and can’t comeback in 4 hours later.

But you will have a boat to go when and where you want to go. I just put 2 new Yamaha 150,s on my 23 foot Pro Line. And I'm 70. It cost me over $36,000. But you can't take it with you.

I have my 14ft boat if i could find one like I wanted at Cabela, s used at half the price I would take it but till then I’ll keep my eyes open maybe find a take over payment on one if lowered enough

I am in Salem. been to Yaquina bay a few times already for some crabbing. the bar just wasn't ready for us to cross while there. gunna try Foster lake and when it gets a little better weather going to try walleye fishing on columbia.
