Gotta learn a new lake

I typically fish Caesars creek . About a 45 minute drive from home.
Buried my father in law on Feb 6
Only my wife’s step mom and her brother remain.
Anyway, wife’s great grandfather built a place on Lake Loramie about 1:15 minutes north of me.
He built this right on the water in a choice spot . About 75 years ago. The lake is 1655 acre lake.

3 years ago her dad had the place completely remodeled . Had a new concrete dock with a lift and just last year traded his pontoon for a brand new one.
Engine break in not even done.

I’m gonna help with the upkeep to help mother in law out.

So I have a new lake to learn. It’s a legendary crappie lake and the bass and saugeye are supposed to be fantastic.
Fished it before but not seriously.
I love a new challenge , and with the new job, I’ll have time to do it .

You are exhibiting the true spirit of a fisherman, accepting the challenge of discovery. I actually feel sorry for fishermen who are asking where the 'honey holes' are. They should go out and find their own, which is a big part of the fun of fishing. Just Sayin...RJS

So you got a place to put us all up if we come to Dayton. And take us crappie fishing? Put the coffee on. And what's for dinner?

Sorry for your loss. I haven’t been on the stage much, but I haven’t seen a post from you unless I missed it somewhere. Hope things work out okay. Loss of a family member is never easy. Keep in touch and thanks for posting. Good luck on the new lake.

Plenty of coffee and crappie and fried potato’s for dinner.
If you come , bring work gloves!
Keeping a second place takes a lot of work.
Goal is to have wife’s step mom keep it.
If she decides to bail , I’ll buy it.
Can’t let something that’s been in my wife’s family for over 70 years get away

Sounds like a great place to fish. bounce a blade or a minnow tipped jig tight to the bottom for the saugeye.

Taters and crappie and hot coffee is awful tempting. But if you're gonna cuss me out like that and use foul language, I'll have to reconsider. Wish you the best of luck in your venture.
