Went to Cabela’s today and looked at the fish finders they had I looked in $500.00
range. I looked at Garmin Eco-Map and I looked at the Hummingbird Eco- map and i looked at the Lowrance Hook 7 reveal
Triple Shot I was looking at a model Hook7 that was less than the one I bought but when I was at checkout it rang up 714.00
They went back and checked the price and it was out of stock for the $500.00 plus
So it took the higher priced unit it has more in it It has sonar. Side scan ( very high detail ). Down scan ( high detail) also it uses GPS for marking and making maps and
a lot of other things yet to learn

When i was looking at the finders I liked the one I bought but decided it cost to much
So I said no but I guess it was destiny

I HOPE it knows how to make coffee ☕️ in the boat for what it cost

I want to thank all of you that gave me your information and help in my decision

Yeh yea 🥰😍🥲🤣😂

It's hard to bite the bullet I've seen boats with $4,000.00 trolling motor and $20,000 in electronics. Ice got to get a new trolling motor in the near future I'm looking for one with spot lock and 360° sonar

I’ve spent thousands this winter upgrading boat and told my daughter I’m spending her inheritance. She laughed and said I deserve it. New trolling motor, garmin ECHOMAP 106sv,102sv, both ten inch screens, and one nine inch ECHOMAP for helm. Two lithium batteries two battery chargers, one livescope, one rite hite turret. It’s going to be great on Kentucky lake. Yes I’ll post some pics to the stage. Got to get Ben down here to fish with me.

Hey buddy, you will have no excuse for not bringing any fish home. But they will be expensive fish. So, what!

Maybe she laughed because she's happy you're upgrading the boat she'll inherit? Kids...You gotta LOVE them!

Lol I guess I Need to provide my own coffee
Sugar and creamer there’s a little door 🚪 on the side of the unit I guess that’s where the coffee goes inside?? Looks like a card insert port I hope the creamer don’t get too messy in there. 😂

Your going to have so much fun learning all the features and the detail is insane. I'm still learning all the features of my Lowrance. I record all my sonar and use Reef Master to play them back. I just love watching the replay. Have fun!!!

If you can, take a few pictures to compare. I'm in the market for a finder now.

In the search for a new one my self . Got side tracked and got a new trolling motor with remote control .
650 dollars I could have spent on a decent fish finder .

Congrats Edward on your new fish finder. Best way to learn how to use is to go out and use it and learn all the features. I read the instructions on mine til I was blue in the face, but when I began using it I really learned how. YouTube has some nice videos too.

[quote=EdwardL]Went to Cabela’s today and looked at the fish finders they had I looked in $500.00

About a year ago I went to Bass Pro to replace the finder up front. Was going to go with a Lowrance to match the Ti2 on my dash. They didn't have any so the guy shows me the Elite FS 7. This is how it went down and my exact review on their website.

"I bought this based on an in store demonstration where the fellow showed me active imaging. I was initially looking for a Ti2 7" to mount to my bow to match the Elite Ti2 12" on my console but they didn't have any. So this is what I bought based on the guy saying words to the effect of "This is what you can do with it" and showed me a demonstration of the live imaging. What he failed to say, or if he did say it, it was not clear, that I would need double the cost of the unit to buy the Lowrance ActiveTarget Live Sonar at an additional $1499.00 plus tax. Lowrance owns some of this too, they use very techie descriptive but non-committed words to imply that the unit comes with everything you need but fails to state clearly that it you want the active imaging, whip out your wallet again. So the reality is that I now use it with pretty much the same features as my Elite Ti2 12" at a slightly higher price than I would have paid for a Elite Ti2 7" but no active imaging."

So now the price for the Active Target is over $1600. Guess they showed me......
