If you expand the view a little bit. The largest endangered species is us. We are k*****g everything that we need to survive. Air, water, soil.we take everything from the planet ( non-renewable) and return plastic trash to the oceans. There are 50% less bee keepers than 25 years ago. The average beekeeper today loses 40 to 60% of their bees every year. We are f##ked because people would rather make money than live. Can you imagine how great this country would be if the colonists adopted the Native American Indian lifestyle. No arguments from the squaw. Honey I’m going fishing/hunting see you when I get back.LOL

We won’t see it in our lifetimes, but human life doesn’t seem sustainable.
Overpopulation and excesses will eventually return the earth to mother nature.

I found some type of loop knot that is very simple and really strong to tie two lines together.

Yes. I have been using it. A loop wrapped 10 times around the line and the line fed through the loop. Bass pro using it to load braid to mono when spooling up line for customers.

Hey Jwid, not sure our qest coast largemouth watch Nascar but fickle fish is why we keep coming back. I have braid on my reels so I would think a leader would be necessary, I use 4-6' of 8 lb fluorocarbon.
It sure is cookin' in the southwest and I ended up at Urgent Care after playing golf with some buddies at 7:45 and got really got sick from heat exhaustion around 10:30.
Fished Havasu Wed and Thurs in my kayak and that probably started it. At 69 I need to be more careful. Better now and a nap will fix me up!

I have been considering trying leaders, but have a bit of success tying braid directly. I have low vis gray and green on my baitcasters and white and yellow on my spinning reels. Not sure it would be worth the effort.

Shop your home, car, boat insurance bundle every couple years. I saved a grand between State Farm and changing to Safco. Their loyalty to you for being insured with them for 30 years or paying more to get better service is hype. Keep the money in your wallet and treat yourself better.

I have caught fish with expensive and cheap lures, with and without snaps or swivels. I rarely use a leader. Fishing mostly bass. I like to have one pole available with a snap or swivel in case I have a need for a quick bait change. I don’t think bass are that picky. I am most likely going to be skunked when bait fish are schooling all over and the bass are stuffed, napping watching a Nascar event or football.

If the turtle isn’t too big or your rig is heavy enough. Bounce the turtle on the surface of the water. Often I find that is enough to dislodge the hook. Otherwise, I usually cut the line as close to the hook as possible.

G****r identity issues? Sounds about right for the area. I wonder if you can shoot a bear with a salmon tag there. 🤔. Could be the bear decided to be a salmon that day right? Works for people🤷‍♂️

You are what you eat?
Bears eat salmon.
Bears are salmon.
You caught salmon.
You had salmon tag.

A very sound California legal argument.

Were they regular common carp or bighead? I have nailed some Bighead on jigs before in the river.

A couple we hooked up with by accident while bass fishing. Common carp?

I was trying to catch some big ones I could see slowly swimming around within reach of an accurate cast. It is frustrating to see them and they won’t hit anything. Picked up a quarter sized scale on a rapala treble. What bait should I use?

i believe in them and find them quite accurate, but you still need to put yourself on fish as well. i don't just go whenever it's suppose to be great, cause if it was my choice, I'd probably never get off the lake or river. good luck...

Amen. Keep pounding the banks. Catch more or less. The moon gives me an excuse for a slow day.

HaHa That's a beauty Grizz. Might be tough to reach over and Lip a Bass though.

If you have the extra $329,000 to buy one you probably can have someone reach over and lip the bass for you.

Glad you’re still on the stage Mr. Samples. I’m no doctor so check with one first, but aspirin might be a better choice for unknown pain in your situation. If it was a heart issue might have helped. Just sayin.
