I sometimes like to fish for carp for sport, along with my other fishey friends. Anyone in the general area of Imperial Missouri know of any hot spots for the bugle mouth bass?

Can't help you out in Missouri but I agree carp fishing is a great sport. Catch a few like this and you will be hook.

I was trying to catch some big ones I could see slowly swimming around within reach of an accurate cast. It is frustrating to see them and they won’t hit anything. Picked up a quarter sized scale on a rapala treble. What bait should I use?

Were they regular common carp or bighead? I have nailed some Bighead on jigs before in the river.

A couple we hooked up with by accident while bass fishing. Common carp?
