That explains it. I once moved a rotten log and was attacked by a school of bumble fish. SMH.

No, I mean why would the wackos in CA, classify Bees as fish? Is there a reason?

Here’s an article on it. Basically it’s for protection of bees as an endangered species using an existing law.

Thanks Four, I just looked it up. Apparently their endangered species law was written to only cover fish, so anything else that needs the protection of that law, has to be classified as a fish.
I seem to remember something about a "Snail Darter " being the cause for the law in the first place.

Trying to stay on the ground floor here.
If you need to protect bees then get a law or regulation in place for that purpose. There is a process for that. Courts seem to bee expanding their powers to allowing protection of anything that someone with an itch wants.

That's the California court system for you. I h**e to admit it, but I agree with their intent, anyway. There's a severe loss of pollinating Bees in this country now, due to massive die off from some pesticides. Without Bees, there are no crops!
