Hi Lured, good job you found me. This is Richie. The Harris Chain of Lakes is awesome. . 6 lakes great beauty and several restaurants along the way. Fishing is good in all of them depends on the conditions. I live on Griffin, 9500 acres
It's been so damn hot lately, best to fish early or late. If you fish later in the day fish deeper, look for cover (Lilly pads, hydrella) and slow down on the retrieve.I like the soft plastics, June bug, watermelon. Cooler weather I like top water, especially frogs. fish on the edge of cover.
Do you live in the area?
Perhaps we can get together some day and alternate salt water and fresh water fishing.
GREAT information. Not far from The Villages where I live. Might go over there and check it out.
This is Rich, I live in Leesburg and fish the Harris Chain, Griffin,Harris, Dora.

This is Richie,
live in Leesburg on Lake Griffin (9473 acres) which is part of the Harris Chain of Lakes. Griffin connects with 5 other big lakes. Great bass and crappie fishing in all of them.
I just sold my 22' Hurricane Deck boat to my neighbor. Fishing from my dock and doing pretty good on the bass
Crappie should get good when the weather cools.
I will be selling my 3 bedroom, 3 bath. 2350 SF house if you are interested
Thanks for the reply. Send your contact info if you wish.

MNFL, welcome. I use to live in Titusville, FL, just a few miles so of you. Fished the Indian River for trout and ref fish. A lot of grass flats were a good bet with free-ling live shrimp and also using trout touts. A Johnson gold spoon is always a good choice.
When I got my bigger boat I would go offshore out of Canaveral. It's a long run to get to the Gulf Stream.
Good fishing and beautiful.
I now live in Leesburg, FL on Lake Griffin and has become a freshwater fisherman, bass and CRAPPIE. TOTALLY a different way to fish. We're not that many miles apart. Perhaps we can do some fishing some day. Good luck to you.
