You didn't bring bananas with ya ? Bad bad omen ! And the dang fish know!
Could have water in the gas or maybe he is using gas with ethynol. Bad bad bad. Makes motors run like crap!
Yep Pomp's have the yellow coloration for sure and perms don't. I agree!
I once caught a fish like the orange one and we took it to the Fish and Wildlife to see what it was and it's actually called a Palomino Trout. Somebody in West Virginia crossed a Rainbow trout with a Golden Rainbow trout. Somehow some made it to the Great Lakes as I caught mine in a tributary off Lake Ontario back in the late 70's. Thought I would pass on some trivia.
Yep very glad we moved, closer to my relatives which are getting up there in age and weather is pretty nice here. I guess after living in Washington for so many years the humidity doesn't bother us that much. Like every place some days a little worse than others but for the most part it's nice. Got us a house with a pool so we stay home a lot with the quarrantined that nobody seems to abide by. Washington was a great place to raise a family but it was time to try something different.
Lived in Brush Prairie,Wa. Until December. So I know all about hunting in soggy Washington. Lived back there for 34 years.
Haha I think I was further south that week along the Nemah River.
When they kick the bucket I salt them and freeze them up until the next time .Salting them keeps them firm and freezing them keeps them as fresh as possible and catfish don't care if their live or dead.
The more the water warms the closer they will get to shore. Instead of a 150 miles out they will come within 30/40 miles out. Check with the charters they have the info and knowledge
I'm not thinking so mouth not big enough for Pike minnow aka squawfish. I'm thinking a bowfin.
They use them like a down rigger but hooks directly to your fishing line. It dives to the desired depth you want then when a fish hits your lure or bait, there is a release on it allowing you to reel it in without struggling against the current or trolling speed. Salmon fisherman use them a lot in the PNW
My guess is it's July the fish are on there spawning beds give it a couple weeks and go back and try it.
Yep I agree it was a great place to raise a family and enjoy the outdoors. We lived in Brush Prairie,Washington and had a nice 6 acres. But your right winter's do suck. I'm sure you have heard of the movie 50 shades of Gray. Well Oregon/Washington have 90 shades of Gray for sure. Hahaha. Just hope that the virus gets over soon as now we live in the epicenter they are saying. Hoping to get out and do some fishing here soon. I have to change all my tactics down here. Kind of looking forward to go surf fishing. Sounds fun checking out the bikinis and reeling in fish!
Kind of Sort of-- Actually wife took a new job with the Navy she has been a DOD worker for nearly 30 years so before we got any older we figured it was time. Plus daughter and her hubby along with our new grandson live in Florida as well, so bottom line we were killing multiple birds at the same time. The only regret we have is we should have made the move years ago . Haha
