Oh yeah, my uncle used to smoke camel cigarettes and he would send in the packages for these little lures called "camel joe" they looked like a crayfish. He could catch a bass in a mud puddle with those things. In fact, there wasn't any fish he couldn't catch with those things and they were the only lures he had in his box. Very funny, but effective.

I'm a fan of using jigs and rubber stuff for bass and walleye. I had a friend who used to buy all kinds of stick baits, but he wouldn't throw them in the water for fear of losing them. I told him he should leave them home if he can't afford to lose one. Reef runners are a stick bait that seems to work for walleye.

We do not blow bottles. We buy them and ship them from Illinois. Our water doesn't have any sulfur taste. We missed first place by one point in the world's biggest water tasting contest in Berkley Springs W. Virginia. We only sell Liter and half Liter bottles. No jugs. We compete with the high-end imports.

Thanks. Like I said, I don't know what I'm talking about for the most part. I have caught some fish in my many years on the planet. I used to fish the streams pretty hard when I was a younger man, mostly for brook trout, browns and rainbows. I love the battle of a King Salmon and pure violence of the hit. We sell artesian water through Kroger under their Simple Truth label. We bottle it right here on my property. We can bottle 5 million bottles per month, if needed. My son runs the plant, my wife runs the office, and I run the downriggers. So, that's about who I am. Getting ready to try dipping smelt for the weekend. Have fun!

If you are in real deep water you can hold it like a fiddle, but recommend practicing on dry land.

Maybe the offer came too late, he's in the water and the boat is going in circles.
California sure has lots of rules. If it don't tax you it will give you cancer.

They have those chips on Flashers, also. I have used them when fishing for salmon on Lake Michigan and Superior using flashers and flies, but I am not real sure that they helped or they didn't. Flashers are expensive anyway, so I didn't notice if I paid for the chip or not. I say , if you got it, spend it. Won't be long before the commies come and try to take it from you anyway. Ol' George says they don't make a hearse with a luggage rack.

I heard that the way to go about it, was to "Throw a bucket of ice-water on 'em"... Oh, wait... That was 2 dogs!!!

Able Man, Your response is the funniest part of this thread, by a mile. I laughed so hard I didn't need a workout that day. Thanks for the humor.

As I recall, my fishing partner had a drinking problem, so when we got to the resort with the bar at the north west end, we hit bottom and couldn't get off the bar. I had to laugh at lipsticker's response about the GPS because we had a little trouble finding our way back to home base also...and it was dark.
When you were fishing at the Cisco Chain last, I was about 18 Years old. At that time we used to catch monster small mouth bass at a place called Bass Lake in Iron Mountain. Since then, they took all the dead trees and weeds out and covered the shoreline with houses and manicured lawns. The bass are gone.
There is still one place over by Iron Mountain that has monster bass, but it is illegal to cross the land to fish there.

Hi Cougar, It's been about half that time since I tried fishing there. I did not have much luck, but I was after the walleyes. I heard from a reliable source that there was a state record Musky in that chain, so I wouldn't hang a stringer full of fish from your boat unless you want to have what we call a musky encounter. It's still a beautiful place. Good luck.

That's amazing! From your back deck...who knew? Next time I get down that way, I could send you a note, and maybe we could have a beer and a big pile of shrimp before we go out to the bay and slam a bunch of trout.
