Golf is a great game...amazingly simple, yet endlessly complicated.
If we get decent ice this year we will have a tournament this year using a single club and a tennis ball. If we have decent snow depth, we plow fairways with our 4 wheelers and will drill “cups” with ice augers and use utility flags to mark the holes. The pandemic may affect the tourney this year, but we can easily be socially distant out on the ice. One of the positives is your beer never gets warm. 😉

That sounds like FUN! Cold weather areas are creative in games played in winter. It has not been cold enough around here for safe ice for a number of years. I will tell a buddy of mine in Nebraska about your game. It will give those guys something to do in the winter.

Never used over 60 gal. On a all day trip and I fill up on the way home from the boat landing with everybody there yo share the bill. Only about $40.00 each. Keeps the tears away. LOL

Certainly seems fair to me. We may be coming to Charleston when this COVID crap is over. Wife and I both love the town. We normally stay at the Meeting Street Inn. Nice walking distance to all the tourist traps!😎. If we get down that way I would like to look you up. Maybe wet a line.

Does it cause a tear when you say "Filler up?" I guess you have to pay to play! Still a sweet ride!

First of all, Good Mornin', everybody, I haven't even had a chance to say that yet this morning.

Marion had a PET Scan Thurs. and then yesterday she met with her oncologist and she had another infusion. Her Stage 4 lung cancer is now in remission. She has to continue with her chemo and immunotherapy until Feb., and then another 15 months with the immunotherapy. Otherwise, it will come right back. It is the best Christmas present that she has ever had, mine too.

I would like to thank everybody for your prayers, you guys are GREAT. The power of Prayer is unbelievable.

Thanks, everyone!

Throw in "when am I going to get one?" and you pretty much have it.

I thought this would get a response from a charter captain. Thanks.

The government suspected the charter boat owner was not paying his employees properly so they sent an auditor to investigate.

Auditor: “I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them.”

Boat Owner: “Well, there’s Clarence, my deckhand. He’s been with me three years. I pay him $1,000 a week plus free room and board. Then there’s the mentally challenged guy. He works about 80 hours a week and does 90% of the work around here. He makes about $10 a week, pays his own room and board and I buy him a bottle of Bacardi rum and a dozen Budweiser’s every Saturday night so he can cope with life. He also gets to sleep with my wife occasionally.”

Auditor: “That’s the guy I want to talk to. The mentally challenged one.”

Boat Owner: “That would be me. What would you like to know?

Gordon, that is one beautiful picture. I have not been out that way in Canada but I have been to Ontario a few times and Quebec once. I love the rocky shorelines on the lakes and scenery is so picturesque. I could move there but the wife can’t take cold weather so that settles the question! I’ve been to Lake of the Woods several times fishing. There is a lot of lake there! Great walleye fishing too! Sure wish I could visit again.
