Stop bragging. U might piss off the fishing gods! Next time might be just a long boat ride!!!!

Not bragging my friend, confident. Besides, you've fished enough times with me to know what an amazing fisherman I am! Boy, I'm really pushing my luck now! Lol

Well I met NoCal Steve yesterday morning at Lake Berryessa. We were on the water.by 7:30. Started out hitting some of our favorite spots. A little cold in the morning but warmed up nicely.not much action untill about 10am. In the next two hours we caught 8 nice smallies all between 2 &1/2 to 3 pounds. Boy those smallies put up a great fight! Then the bite totally shut down. Moved to various spots, but nothing happening. Of the water by 3pm. All fish were caught tossing a slow retrieved weighted Senkos and slow dragging Strike King worms.Still a great day. Just look at the smile on Steve’s face!

You forgot to say NoCal Steve is "4 for 4 in 2024!" ( caught at least a limit) Rich was smiling to! This bass spent more time in the air than it did on the water! Water temp took a nose dive and a Spring storm is coming in today so it will be another week before the fishing gets really good. Hate to break my streak but next trip is going to have to be Clear Lake I'm thinking.

If this kind of action is not acceptable on your boat you need to state it to your partner while still at the launching. It's also a good time to tell your partner what coves, points and brushpiles are yours. Let them know the size limits they are allowed to catch.also clearly explain the penalties for breaking the captains rules. Tell them what baits are not allowed for them. Have them read and accept the rules you have written on the contract before they sign it. But most of all, enjoy your day on the water with your legally binding partner

Love it CRC! I don't even understand this post! The person that taught me how to bass fish made it clear. If either one of us misses a fish, the other guy needs to get his lure in there ASAP! I've passed that same lesson along to anyone fishing on my boat... without a contract! Lol

Steve good to see you out with some fun friends. I wish I could be so bored, lol.
I’m on the fence too with M&G. Take care.

Thanks Tim! I'm almost positive I won't make it to the M&G for more than a day. Really bad choice on the dates. It might be real hard to leave that shady campground! But, if you go let me know and we'll go fishing for sure.

Yep, sometimes a different lure, approach or angle is all it takes for a fish to commit. BAM, in the boat !

Steve... are you free to meet me at Capel Tuesday morning?

Just kidding with The two. The location was mentioned so many times it’s just funny. It is where I wouldn’t mind fishing sometime. Looks like it’s good there early.

Jer... a great fishing lake that lives in the shadow of Clear Lake!

Since I suckered up and now have 2 outboard motors that are maybe parts only, I spent another day looking for a good motor. I looked at one yesterday after I told how to start it supposed to be a running motor, he finally got it started running it blowed nothing but blue smoke. I didn't buy it. One guy couldn't start his motor because it was missing the starter I told him to put a starter on it and start it up I would come look at it he said if he put a starter on it he'd keep it I think he wanted me to buy a non starter. Another raised the price 400$ after I asked him about it. I asked several to put boat and motor in the water so I could see it running no takers I have a couple prospects but they haven't answered my questions yet. I'm taking your advice and not buying unless I see them running prefer to see them on the water

Motors run very different on muffs compared to pushing a load in the water! Be careful!

I have had it happen more than once. And I have done it more than once.
If I miss a fish I often tell my partner to throw over there where I missed it and hope they get it.

100% Steve. Nothing wrong with it as it's an excellent technique to get a missed fish in the boat!

Typically now through May. You can start in the Delta and move North with the fish. Good luck!
