Salmon, They provide life in so many ways. They are the back bone of the land. When they reproduce their bodies are for the smolts and for the river itself. Tree's get the nutrients they need as well as all other plant life.Salmon in my opinion are the most inportant fish in the ocean. Ricky Sitka

Wondering… I have used a 4’ x 9’ pontoon boat on rivers in Montana and Utah. I have been to Florida and fished many times, mostly around Pine Island. I see people using kayaks to fish. Wondering why doesn’t anybody use pontoon boats there? Wind not an issue. I have one with anchor drop pulley and motor Mount for small electric trolling motor. I have a rod holder. My pontoon has space for a cooler and all accessories I need. Why don’t people use them? I have not thought of a reason not to. About to set out….

Sitka spruce. for musical wood it makes very good pianos yamaha for instance. Hemlock very good fire wood has lots of btu output and has great lasting power, alder for smoking the best fish you ever tasted. Yellow cedar the best kindling ever, even soaking wet it will still catch fire. amazing also when wet it haves the most pleasent smell ever. As a young man I worked in a pulp mill in s east alaska and the size of spruce trees that we processed were just amazing 12ft to 15 ft at the butt. I ran a crane that would lift the tree to get it into the mill. Very fun to lift a tree of this size. Rick Sitka

Not trying to be elitist or anything, and if you enjoy bait fishing I’m glad you enjoy it. I just don’t feel like there’s really much variation to it. Cast your bait out and wait. It works. Experimenting with lures and presentation until you’re having as much success as bait fishing is really satisfying to me.

Still fishing is fun but boring. Its alot more fun to troll the whole lake to find and stay on the fish.I have caught just as many fish trolling as still fishing. The live worm is your friend trolling. Ricky Sitka

It is nice to go to a lake and KNOW that you will go home with fish.

I know how that feels. There is another lake here in wash. on the hood canal named spencer lake it has 2-5 lb rainbows that realy like to chase cowbells w/ a wedding ring plus a live worm. They are real hard fighters, Rick Sitka

The only time to freeze a whole fish with guts in is when you send it out to be mounted for the wall. That is the only time. All the blood in the fish will sour it, when left in the body of the fish. Ricky Sitka

I have a Gamin 126SV with a GT 56 transducer which I have mounted on Port side of boat. Considering attaching another transducer on Starboard side to increase definition.

1 Has anyone tried dual transducers, and if so is a Y cable all that is needed?

2 If you have two, did you get a more defined bottom structure with the combination?

3 Was it worth the extra money in the end?

Thank you in advance.
