Puerto Morales is on the Riviera Maya, on the Caribbean side. Here is my suggestion and I have done this on many Mexico trips. Head down to the marina in the evening after the fisherman come in. Most of them speak English and will probably approach you anyway. My wife is Mexican and speaks fluent Spanish. This I realize is a huge advantage. She will negotiate a trip for me with one of the local captains. She always looks them in the eye and says " no gringo prices"! We can usually get out with one of them within the next day or so. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

Satellite radio has a channel called Classic Radio. All of those old programs and more are on it 24/7.
I would love it, except the only satellite radio I have is in my car, and that's as bad as texting. I lose driving concentration, listening to a story, or audio books.

I was one of those who sat in the living room in the evening around the radio, listening.
I do remember the deep voice of Sam Spade.
