Been fishing the stock pond in the south Fort Worth area all December doing great
They came in earlier in the first week in January and did it again and for some reason nobody is catching anything and nobody can explain why I would love some input on what we can do

Welcome to the Forum, Bruce. Sorry, I can't help you but we have a lot of members in the D/FW area. Let's see what they have to say.

Fish might need a few days to feed on something besides fish food. Start munching on plants, something new to them and then bugs and bait fish things!

I will keep you informed if and when they start biting are usually go in the morning when I have a day off or in the afternoon after work today it’s been five days and if the weathers good I’ll see what happens

Maybe you fished most of them out. It depends upon how many fish are in the stocked pond. It could be some one is chumming the pond with dog kibble food and then using a throw net at night.

I don’t think it is Fished out We were told that there was over 1000 put in the lake on Wednesday morning and I would really hate to think there’s some selfish SOB will be out there with the cows in it at night because when they made the dump in December we caught fish for almost the whole month just taking our limit

They stocked the pond I fished that day and no bits something they gave the fish to stabilize them for the ride in . This never happened before I always catch when they stock strange.

What kind of fish is is stocked with? Channel cat won't reproduce in a pond, so it's possible that it has been fished out, depending on when it was stocked.

What kind of fish are being stocked Bruce? What bait is being used? I know y’all have had some really cold weather and that may have shut them down. Good luck.

Kind of a drag having skunk on a trip. Given. Sure still beats the stripes off of any day at the office though.... right? 🙃

Yep. Always has, always will. I’ve fished over 12 hours before and didn’t catch anything, BUT, there’s always that chance they’re gonna start biting.

I have a place here in So. Calif. that is a stocked pond with trout and cost $29.00 to fish from 6:00am to 4:00pm same day as is called Santa Ana river lake. Well....they e-mail you to show you of the stocking that day which are some nice big trout. You can go the next day or the day after that and be lucky to get a bite. You have to use 4lb test line and a 2lb leader with a #16 or#18 treb. hook with Zeke,s dough bait usually green in color which is the best rig for these fish AND YOU STILL CAN'T CATCH ANYTHING!!!!lol.
