Nice catch, I caught 2 large rockfish last week and they spit up sculpin as we brought them onboard

Yes, I drive from Woodland. The SF bay is closer to drive to fish but the bay gets rougher in the afternoon than the bodega area, I also wanted to try further north as I haven’t ventured out that way much

Took 2 friends fishing yesterday before the near shore season closes. We Launched out of Bodega and fished by Bird Rock, caught 30 rockfish and 2 lingcod.

I put glow in the dark tape and eye balls on a few of the rigs, the blue tape was holding it on until I used it for fishing

My buddy and I launched out of Bodega Bay and went in search of Lingcod. I also made some new Copper jigs that I wanted to test out.
We caught 2 blue lingcod, 2 brown lingcod and one limit of rockfish in 2 hours fishing.
Copper jigs worked well.
It was sunny and calm water.

I just checked the regulations and don’t see where the northern area closes 8/21, where did you see the change?

Boat is a 20’ Seahawk with offshore bracket, if you have a Hp choice get a 150 or bigger. I have a 115, it does fine but would be nice to have a little more power when I have more than 3 people in boat.
