Dad took me when I was 5 to. He was smart and took me when the bluegills were on the beds. Lots of action. I was hooked from day one. We went often and he managed to take we when and where he knew there would be some action. He had Mom pack a lunch and had plenty of other things to do if the fishing got slow. I did the same with Meg daughter, I have to say she was a better fisher person than I was at that age.
Very nice. Nothing better than hunting with a good dog. I miss mine. Current dog is not a hunting breed. Most of my friends have given up hunting due to geriatrics. Myself included.

What makes it insane is those salmon are in spawning mode. Their flesh is like mush. Nasty tasting. In my opinion barely suitable for anything but fish cakes. It’s ot fishing. No sport what so ever just greed. They all deserve what they get,
I don’t own a lithium battery but a friend on mine has two in his boat . They are very very light and hold a charge for a very LMB time. They re costly but if money isn’t an issue they appear to be the way to go.
