Love crab cakes, lucky enough to live close to the Chesaleake Bay and get good ones! Some local restaurants have so-so crab cakes and others are noticeably better. Yum!

Why do Mary Tyler Moore and Sally Fields look so unhappy? They could have at least faked a smile.

Wake up kids, its Saturday morning!! Put your fuzzy bunny slippers on, grab a bowl of CoCo Wheats and a glass of Tang while we get ready for the Looney Toons hour!!

Most of us on the east coast can put a coat of wax on the snow shovel and get ready for the snow to start.. Have an extra cup of coffee and take some Tylenol before ya start shoveling.

It's 26° now and supposed to go to 32°. Sounds like it'll be a good snowman making snow. We're supposed to get 3-5 today and maybe another inch tomorrow. Atleast I can get it cleaned up before Monday.

Don't ask me why,, but when I read this I envision Troy and MrsT.....

An old married couple are in church service on sunday. The elderly lady leans over to her husband and whispers “I just let go a really long, silent fart. What should I do?”

The husband looks back at her and says "change the battery on your hearing aid".

That.. that...that.... That's all Folks!!

It's a rainy and cold Saturday here. Saturdays like this were great for staying inside and watching Saturday morning cartoons and movies. Now that they're on 24/7 the incentive is not there anymore and the current cartoons leave a lot to be desired. However, I can still watch Bugs, Elmer, Taz and the gang on youtube! Merry Melodies, Looney Tunes, Fractured FairyTales. Even Wiley Coyote and Marvin the Martian! (Where's the kaboom?...)

Had a different supper this Christmas. Seafood Gumbo. Made with Clams, Oysters, Shrimp, Goose and Sausage. Had some french bread to sop it up with. Home made apple pie for desert with apples we picked last month in NC. Had some home made Hard Tack Candy. Most of you from up north should know what this is. An old girlfriend's mother from Ohio introduced me to this. Almost forgot. Some cookies also.

Christmas dinner does not have to be a roast, turkey, or goose with all the fixins. Looks delicious and I hope you got to share it with family or good company! Belated Merry Christmas to you!

In talking with a very good friend of mine he pointed out that one of the more contentious persons on this site mentioned, complained, that this is a fishing site and other views and opinions should be relegated to other venues. This is a sentiment that I have seen off and on over the time I have been here and which I would like to answer with my opinion.
First, as far as fishing is concerned I have learned more in the last 4 years on this site than I learned in the entire time of my previous fishing career of 63 years. Knots, baits, lures, flies, rods reels, boats and equipment as well as where to’s and how to’s and why to’s. The wealth of knowledge and experience shared here is phenomenal.
Second , with regard to other views and opinions I would say that this is a site made up of thousands of people around the country and while many of the thousands don’t enter into the various conversations that arise here we can only hope that all who read will come away with good feelings. We are people who share a common interest which is fishing but there is more to life than that. There is more to all of us than that and this site has provided us with a place where we congregate and share our lives with another in an attempt to join in a wider community for support and caring and just outlooks and views on life. Much the same as we do when we are sitting with each other casting, trolling, swatting bugs or getting skunked. For many of us it has become an extended family offering support for the trials we all go though as well as others who can share our joys and happiness when the good things of life come our way. It is an amazing group of people.
Last but not least, there have been grumblings with regard to the Administration person or persons who maintain and keep this site open. In this regard let me just say that primarily this is a business for him and as his business he must run it as he sees fit. We can disagree with his policies and practices but in the long run I think Admin has done a phenomenal job at providing this website for us who use it who come from such a wide variety of backgrounds, beliefs lifestyles.
The Fishing Stage is more than just entertainment and learning it has become, for me, almost a home. Thank you all and may God richly bless each and every one.

Thank you for stating this, Wulffy. I see the site as family and close fishing friends. I learn alot, laugh alot, and experience heart-felt sympathy when a fellow stager is going through a rough spell. I wouldn't change a thing!
