Buck folding hunter when in the outdoors. Along with a mini buck in my pocket all the time. Around the house or running errands I wear a Leatherman OHT.
Wow, nice!
Sorry about work. 😥
Gotta pay the bills.
When I ran the fishing dept at a hardware store in the 70s ( yes, I know--I am dating myself!) I learned that some lures are meant to catch fish and some are made to catch fishermen!
Still, it looks like a decent lure worth trying.

I bought a Plano bag that held four 3700 boxes and had some other pockets fairly cheap on sale at Sportsman’s. I liked it, but I do a lot of bank fishing. It pretty much took up a hand just to carry it. I then found a Plano backpack that holds four 3600 boxes and a bunch of other stuff. I love the backpack! You can load a bunch of Plano boxes up and just take the four you plan on using. If you mostly use it in a boat it’s probably not the right solution. I have the big bag for that.
Good Idea, I will have to watch for a sale!
Ready for a new tackle box, my old fold-open box with 3 cantilevered trays is obviously too small. This will be used for bass fishing gear (obviously bigger and heavier than what I used for trout!) and other lake, river, and maybe bay fish. Saw a recommendation for a Plano 3700 system although the guide series seems rather large and pricey for me (basic 3700 system that holds 4 boxes looks to be ok).
Anyway, what do you use or would you recommend?
Nice, Mike! I never lived near waters that had alot of crappie so I have never caught or eaten them. Now that I have retired and moved to an area where they are available I am looking forward to them. I hear they are good eatin'!
Now that's a story you can tell the grandkids--"I remember when..."
I am lucky to get one fish after losing many lures!
Welcome from another newbie. Do whatever feels natural for you. I am right handed, cast with the right, reel with the left

Thanks for the welcome! Our daughter and son- in- law live in Long Beach!
Thank you, Robert. If you ever see me in the forum don't hesitate to chime in!
Thanks, Cam. Took a little to get used to it but after 5 months and a move cross country I am finally starting to relax!
Thanks! I am in Suffolk so I have a lot of lakes and rivers to start exploring!
Back to fishing again, that is! Been away for over 20 yrs due to life, location, and who knows what else. Grew up fishing for flounder on the east coast, moved to Colorado and often took the kids trout fishing as they were growing up. Retired late last year, moved to Virginia and am now getting ready to respool my reels and start casting again! Really looking forward to it.
Great forum, by the way-- lots of good info and camaraderie
