Nice job, enjoy the good eating!
I launch from Westside boat ramp
Went out for the second day of the season and tried the same spot, we used 6 traps and caught 15 in 1 hour. My buddy was feeling seasick as it was rougher than the day before with big swells.
We caught a lot in the 7 1/2 range again and a personal best 8”.I had to measure it a few times as I Couldn’t believe it.
This years crabs are bigger than previous years so far, lots of Jumbo’s.
While washing my boat a guy pulled up next to us with 2 bluefin tuna he caught 30 miles offshore, I added photo as the were nice fish.
We had a 10 pot string, caught limits on first pull
Went out this morning with a buddy, we found a good spot and caught limits in our first string. We caught a lot of Jumbos, many in the 7 1/2 inch range, largest was 7 7/8.
Thanks for the info, I switched to Promar hoop nets last year and they work pretty good.
Just paid mine today, there’s a note on bottom of registration that discusses the 2021 change. See photo.
Nice fish, were you in the bay or out on the bar?
Nice catch, did you use live bait?
Hopefully the water has calmed down. I’m heading there 10/12 for the week to fish.
Here’s a few, yours look much bigger!
I caught a few the other day and was wondering the same thing so I goggled it. It’s from a blue pigment called biliverdin which transforms the blood serum blue.
