One option is to get a Bimini top for your boat, to provide some shade. That is, if you can find one to fit your boat. I also adapted a single rod holder to the back of one of my seats to use as a golf umbrella holder. It may look funny, but it works!

I have a T-top on my center Console SeaPro and it is still too hot.

I've noticed the older I get the more I enjoy sitting under the old shade tree. Its been to darn hot to sit in the boat out on the water. Anybody else feel this way?

Hey guys and gals.
Shimano 4500B , Cast out then when turn handle to flip bail back, gets stuck. Hosed it all down, still getting stuck. Something ez I can do or take it to shop for cleaning?
Thanks all,
Kandy

You are not supposed to turn the handle to flip the bail over. It should be closed by hand.

JohnG: Be aware that in comparing 8 lb. test braid with 8 lb. test in mono, that the mono is 3 to 4 times larger diameter. to have the equivalent diameter in braid you would have 25 to 35 pound test braid. That would make
a big difference in your casting. Just Sayin...RJS

Some people just do not understand that.

Protect your eyes by wearing good sunglasses! I use them always while on the water or fishing period.

I believe that they have poisonous properties if not cleaned correctly. I would do some research. Also I was to that tea made from the dried fins is a hallucinogen!! Don’t try this at home kids!

Only “some” of those that come the western Pacific Ocean are poisonous.

Puffer fish. The filet tastes like white meat chicken; in fact, they are called “chicken of the sea”.

[quote=1bald1]FB/FG ?[/quoting This knot is for connecting braid line to mono or Floro line together. It makes the smallest, thinnest knot possible for this purpose. Google it for a Utube video on how to tie it; at first it seems complicated, but with a couple of practice tries it is actually simple to tie.

Connect the two lines with a FB/FG knot and you will have no problems with passing the knot thru the guides or on the reel spool. I normally use one rod length leaders, that provides enough line to cut off and re-tie lures directly to the leader.

Hopkins hammered spoons of various sizes. Cast or troll fast.

What if the guide is the boat owner and there is no mate, just the captain?
