Pam,
When you get a dog that looks like maybe a year old from the picture, it has learned other traits, some good, some maybe not so good. So you are trying to "change" the dog as opposed to a new pup that you are raising and training from the beginning. The first thing you need to do is get CONTROL of the animal. He needs to know how to act on a leash. He needs to know the basics; his name, sit, stay, come, heel on a leash. If you have not trained a dog, I would recommend contacting your local vet to see if there is any body conducting training sessions.
Just speaking from experience over many years with different breeds and Heinz 57 models. Good luck.
Yes, along with all what has been said on this forum, in addition to standing, saluting, hand over my heart, we donate to Tunnel 2 Towers. We feel it's something we can do to help there young men who have lost limbs in battle. I encourage all to do so. Ninety-five percent goes to help the victims.

Hey Guys, I've had the pleasure of fishing with Jason Conn this year on a few occasions...
He caught a 17lb+ Share-A-Lunker bass this summer. The largest bass caught in public waters in 2023!
I had an longer interview set up but during the interview things got cut short when my parents were involved in an accident on the way to fish with us.. so here is a little of it.
Jason is a big bass catching machine...watching him hunt and find fish this summer was pretty awesome.

Hey Cruz, just wondering if your parents are OK. Really a distressing situation for sure.
Yes Hueey, the 24 hour store, gas pump, and bait shop at the intersection of 17 and 182
Hueey,
One I would add is that I have learned not to continue arguing, persuading, convincing, someone that they are WRONG for their own good. I now just let them go along and be WRONG. Much more less stressful and peaceful. That includes my brother.
Hueey, I live close to Lake Fork. I can launch at Caney Point in about 10 minutes from my house. Maybe we could meet sometime and visit. Pay and Save is a popular place.
Lake Buchannan, Lake LBJ, Lake Travis, Town Lake in Austin, Colorado River, Lake Georgetown. I used to live there. Talk to a local bait shop.
All of my fellow stagers, please take a look at what "health line" has to say about spam. So much of what taste good is not good for us. Occasionally, it probably won't hurt you, but a steady diet will.

Ate some as a kid; no more as a young adult. Full of fat, sodium, and nitrite for preservative. One of the worst processed foods you can eat. Once in a while like camping maybe, but never on a regular diet guys!!!!
An ole timer fisher man told me a long time ago (before all the fancy stuff to spend money on for reels) to use a "drop" of automatic transmission fluid on the bearings and plain ole Vaseline on the gears. I did find that Vaseline in the summer would get hot and thin out requiring re-application. Never did have any problem with the bearings. I have mostly Shimano casting reels and Garcia spinning reels.
No, just prayers RIVERBOTTOM
I tried it; it never works.
No use putting additional pressure on one's self; I don't make any, so I don't break any :-)
Over the years we have progressed from a mostly rural society to an urban society. Kids on farms then and now know how to work. Kids in cities have to try and get jobs in town and there are risks in that endeavor. They are at a disadvantage and currently turn to computer games and social media to pass time.
I have watched the RFD TV channel and have seen kids in 4-H and FFA accomplish extraordinary things. About the only thing kids have in towns are sports. There are some jobs in town, but not like on the farm at home. I know I have simplified things, but most will understand where I coming form.
We all need to continue praying for some common sense in 2024 under Gods blessing.
go to Texas Parks and Wildlife to look at lakes around you
