Looking for best places to go fishing in Round Rock, Texas.
Lake Buchannan, Lake LBJ, Lake Travis, Town Lake in Austin, Colorado River, Lake Georgetown. I used to live there. Talk to a local bait shop.
Tried fishing Brushy Creek Park today but no dice!

Thank you, sir! I went fishing at Brushy Creek Park today but caught nothing. That’s okay. A “bad” day of fishing beats a “good” day at work anytime!

Mr. Robert, if I lived closer to you we would be doing some fishing 🎣 if there's a will there's a way 🙏🙏 Chuck
If you have a boat, go down to Choke Canyon. Check with the bait shop, if it is still there and get a lake map.
Look for the drop offs and fish them from the deep side towards the shallow side.
Use wire leaders though as there were Hybrid Bass there.
Either a gold bomber or rattle trap if it is sunny.
You will need at least 8 LB test or 12 LB line though. There are/were some big ones there back in the 90's.

It sounds like you are fishing from the bank. How about a little more info?
What kind of fish are you targeting?
Boat, Kayak, or from the bank?

Unfortunately, from the bank. I used to own a bass boat but not anymore.☹️
Bass, catfish, hybrid bass, crappie, really anything edible from mostly fresh water.

There are several "Veteran Parks" in Round Rock, so check the map. The park at 600 Pecan Avenue is an excellent place to check out. It is full of Catfish and loaded with plenty of Bass. If you have any trouble catching fish there, let me know. It is overfished, and the Bass are tricky to catch.

Thank you for the tip! I will definitely check it out!😎
I tried fishing there yesterday but I had no luck. Granted, I was only there for about an hour and a half. I fished off the little fishing pier, if I can call it that, using live minnows and worms. When I left, one line had both minnows gone so something did bite. It is very shallow around there and difficult to cast very far beyond all the growth around the pier and banks there. I will try around the bridge on a tip on got off a fellow angler later this week when I have more time.😎 That was all off the bottom fishing 🎣.
