The thing's people show especially young women would've got my female cousins whipped till they wouldn't have been able to sit down for a week and the same thing if I had talk nasty mouthed to an adult or girl my momma would've whooped me around the block. I don't claim to be a saint and I've had my share of things that I have done, I'm not proud of but the world we're living in now decency has turned upside down figuratively and literally.

I believe it has more to do with the lack of discipline for kids growing up these days. But what can parents do when someone calls the cops for kids playing in their own front yard without a parent there with them. So kids are plugged into video games and computers.

I remember we would leave the house go to school get out of school and play with other kids. We stayed out til supper time. If an adult told us something we obeyed

How true are all these remarks. Personally I believe things really picked up speed on the down hill was when they decided prayer wasn't needed in schools anymore. And Frank, it's not just movies but TV more so because most every home has and watches way to much. But until a person gets right with God nothing will change in their world. I on the other hand, with the decline of my health and needing assistance with a cain, have found that there are still those in the world who will show respect and help. For those I am so grateful.

Parents trying to make their kids life better than theirs was.
Do everything for them n never make them responsible adults.
Then those kids pass it on by not caring about raising a child.
Let em do what ever they want.
Many today don't know who or what they are. Social media as a whole has caused so much trouble.
Movies n video game are as violent as they get.
Then we have tic tok that has killed or injured many kids but nobody will stop it

I think you are all right. Kids want to find their boundaries and parents are now afraid to discipline them. Unlimited influence. An equation for trouble.
20 yrs ago my daughter started to spank her daughter, daughter threatened to tell her teacher. Got spanked anyway. Then punishment became stand in corner with your nose on the wall.

Bruce the older ones aren't setting a very good example.

I agree. Especially growing up in a small town where pretty much every single person knows who you and your family is. Parents work side by side with other Fed Employees and when not at the day job they are in the Fire Department and Community Services District. I didn’t get away with anything. Being a paperboy 6 days a week delivering 220 papers ( fluctuating 215-230 ) one more indication of my identity.
