You are so right! Great knowledge! As a teenager John Fogerty painted his name on the Putah Creek bridge at lake Berryessa! A ritual at the time done by local daredevils. It has since been covered over by others! Spent many summer holidays there during the early seventies watching fools jump off the bridge! Those were the days…hot boats and hot babes!

Oh to be young again,,,,,haha!!

I just moved to Rio Vista CA and live basically on the Sac River/ Delta. I know striper season was excellent this year but has slowed down substantially. My question is does anyone have any idea what's hitting this time of year and what's a good bait to use? I have a small fishing boat so I'm able to get around on the water of that helps?

Jamie Harrell the sac is loaded with stripes in your area right now,,,drift mudsuckers or large minnows near bottom,,,as water muddies up more bait will be your best bet,,some of the fish will move up like into liberty and cache but many will continue on in Rio vista area good luck!!

Valley Bank Direct. 5.25% for a passbook account, not a CD. Don’t have to lock your money up and fully insured to 250 grand!

Still above water,,thanks bud that's better than my CDs I will definitely look at them,,B of A pays almost nothing these days,,,thanks again

I personally have a cousin who is a financial consultant. I’ve listened to his advice. I have moved a good part of our savings into a bank that is now giving me a 5.25 interest on my savings. Prior bank was a returning 1.25.percent My savings is fully secured. A return of 5.25 is unbelievable. As on his advice I moved more money into the stock market which is blowing up right now. Also upon his advice, invested in gold! I can’t believe my returns in the last month. By no means am I a millionaire, but have invested well. I truly suggest that folks should seriously take advantage of the economic environment and opportunities that are occurring in the world economic environment today! When nations are at war, its proven that gold investments go through the roof!

I thought I would share with you some pixs of my favorite fish to chase, the Northern Pike. Many fishermen look down on them and many states F & G try to eradicate them. The state I live in, Idaho, actively gill nets them to near extermination in some lakes. They put a label on them here as an invasive species. But they are no more so than almost every other fish that swims in our waters. They are just a non-native fish just like all the Bass, Perch, Crappie, Sunfish, whitefish and most of the trout. The only native fish here are the Sturgeon. Bull trout and Squawfish, as well as the salmon runs in some parts of the state. Pike actually got to many waters here in N. Idaho by migrating down stream from Montana. Pike are native to parts of Montana, so I would call that natural expansion. It really ticks me off, they target one species as invasive only because they get paid to do a witch hunt on them. I have studied Pike habits and diet, and they do less harm to the ecosystem than Smallmouth Bass do by far, which we have millions of in this state, but no-one is saying we need to kill all of them. Anyway, getting off my soap box now, and thought I would share with you some pictures of my favorite fish to catch. These were all caught and released in the past 4 years or so. I have a lot more, but it won't let me upload any more than this.

Yeah, I've heard the Delta area is on fire lately. Congrats buddy.
Where do you get your live bait?

Saw1,,Rio vista bait. 510 highway 12 its the main drag through town,,,like 4.25 each,,,try to catch multiples on each one,,haha,,,think my record is 5 on one bait,,they are running large so those schoolies have a hard time swallowing, probably
Y why I lost so many hooked fish??? But,,a good trip catching fish with your son???priceless!! I did try jigging a little on my second rod but the bites on bait were coming too often and I didn't get hits on the hardware right away so I I didn't give it much effort, having too much fun on the trout/ bass gear!!!

Good morning folks

I am really wanting to take my wife up to RIO VISTA for the strippers and I’m not to sure where a public launch ramp is, every time in the past it seems they were closed for renovations.

Where to launch
What side of the River or about where to go

Looking to bait and wait or troll either way I’m good just want her to get a taste of a good day of either keepers or shakers

Any help would help

Thanks guys and HAPPY HOLIDAYS

HELL I’m a southern boy MERRY Christmas

Don’t mean to offend
Good morning folks br br I am really wanting to ... (show quote)

Bass tracker,,,I posted about my outing of 12 14 ( last Thursday ) launched in Rio vista at public lot fished incoming tide to high tide,,used midsuckers purchased at Rio vista bait ( 510 highway 12 ) bought a dozen and hooked around 25 fish,,my record is 5 fish on one bait ( when they really hitting they take dead ones too!!) Launch is 14.00 dollars, fished a little downstream on west side,, between barn and power lines 20 to 35 feet, mostly drifting just above bottom but did hook a few on slow retrieve with dead bait, I suggest you take rubber boots and call bait shop prior to make sure they have bait,,,also,,if water high when you came in you can get out of you boat on public pier a few feet upstream of launch and walk around to parking lot on dry ground,,we were loading boat in parking lot!!! Good luck!!
